I know this video is 10 months ago, but seeing Brave Frontier close was like watching my entire childhood close as well. My friend and I used to play it when we were 10, played it for years on end. Now I'm 20 and the memory of this game now lives on through its soundtrack. Simply mesmerizing.

sadly at some point most f2p games shut down outside of some extreme exceptions. sucks since some are worthy of being sold as $60 games with occasional updates and dlc.
I started when I was In the 5th grade that was 8 years ago! What a long journey it has been. So many characters and what a long storyline it was. This game will always hold very special spot in my heart. Every summoner who played should be proud!

I hadn’t even heard that Brave Frontier had shut down till I checked the App Store to redownload it today. I had quit the game years ago but I am really sad that I didn’t find out about the shutdown till a year after. I had so much fun with this game back in the day and it was my first ever gacha. Seeing this video brought back a wave of nostalgia and memories that I had long thought were forgotten. I wish so badly that I could play this game again just to relive those good times.
I dont normally get nostalgic for some older games i still play, but everytime i booted up the game and the music played (the OG title song), its like i could smell this old dusty corner of my bedroom i dont hardly ever clean, and it smells divine.

This was a comment I made the very night the servers went down: I'm currently staying up until the servers go down. I first started playing Brave Frontier on Christmas Eve 2013, went through multiple accounts (because I was a 10y/o kid who only got cheap tablets back then), and yet I never once payed a cent after all this time lol. This is the one game I could always come back to though. Idk how to make this not sound weird, but this game feels like a childhood best friend to me. I grew up with it, and I was always bummed out when whatever device I was using didn't have enough storage to play it, or when the device got old and disfunctional to where it would crash 24/7, making the game unplayable lol. Dang man... I remember when the "Deemo and the Girl" collaboration happened. I think it might have been the first collab. I tried to beat the boss fight with my 3 and 4 star units, but I was a bit too underpowered haha. I remember the music on that mission went HARD though, I should probably search it up. I also remember how absolutely hyped I was when super brave burst and 6 star evolutions were added, and I had a similar reaction with 7 star evo and ultimate brave burst. Around 2017 - My old tablet was rendered useless and my phone at the time didn't have enough storage to play the game when omni came out, but I remember being so confused when I finally was able to play again on my newer phone and saw the rainbow omni star. I soon also found out about omni +, and at that point I thought these evolutions were going a bit far, but then realized omni + wasn't actually that huge of an upgrade. The first collaboration that happened upon my return was a Guilty Gear collab. Once again, I found myself underpowered with my janky team of like, two 7 stars and a weak omni (the free, claimable Elphelt), since this account was still fairly new, but also once again, the music slapped so hard I couldn't get mad. I would just jam out to Elphelt's theme, while fighting Elphelt, with my own Elphelt, and then losing to Elphelt lol. During New Year 2018 or 2019 I managed to get my favorite original character, Lava, back from a list of units from which we were able to choose a single unit monthly, and oh boy did I finally find peace with the game lol. Lava was my first ever summon on my original account, and thank goodness I was able to get her back then, because that was basically my last chance. All OG units would become forever unobtainable a couple months later. Fun fact: When I first summoned her, I thought she was a boy, cause for some reason I didn't see her boobs. I was so innocent 👨🦯. Also it was her 3 star evolution, not the 2 star base form one. Also her old attack animation is sick. Anyway, I got a Galaxy S9 for Christmas in 2019 and from then to 2021, I would go on to level up WAY higher than any other account I ever owned combined, and participate in every event that ever came out since. I was finally playing the game on a stable device in peace, so I wanted to see what I could do. Screw Colosium, but by 2022 I was unbeatable in the nomal arena and monthly vortex arenas, like I would consistently get top 300 in the monthly vortex arena with 0 losses. I just checked, and the servers just went down... I can hear my heart pounding... I won't let this game be forgotten if it's the last thing I do. For anyone who knows about Lava's canonical fate, I feel like I'm in Vargas' position in her final moments as she dissappears from his arms... Rest easy, Lava...your beautifully designed, 2d, mouthless, chibi self kept me better company, and was more trustworthy and loyal than some real life people I've met haha. If only you had the ability to feel proud of yourself...
I remember starting in 2014, when a relative told me to play the game. After constantly insisting, I gave it a try and thought it was not bad, but played better games. When the battle maiden Lico was introduced however, I remembered wanting her. Her drop rate was horrible, but was destined to get her no matter what. After much rage due to being underpowered, I finally acquired her after a week of trying non stop, and that’s when I fell in love with the game. My relative and I would always play together as young teens, doing summoning battles, save up money to buy gems to get Sefia + Kikuri, helping each other with trials like maxwell, and watching Ushi and milko summon battles + unit reviews. We played through the collabs, from Miku, deemo, to my Hero, and loved every moment of rage, pain and happiness. When I beat Karna Masta trial after 3 days of almost no sleep (LOL) it was the greatest feeling since getting Lico, and the moment I began to play less and less due to college and life. My relative and I are older now, working in our jobs, focusing on our responsibilities. We occasionally played, but not as much as we did then. Then, I found out the game was shutting down. I told my relative about it and we’re recording any content we found important (this is how I made this vid lol). On its last day, my relative and I sat down for one last time to do a summon battle. And that moment brought me back like I was in high school again, flowing with happiness and nostalgia. We were both happy, sad, and laughing at the units we got as our last summons and we stayed online unit the servers shut down for good. ( of course they had to shut down 3 hours early while we were screenshotting what we wanted as memories expected gimu). This game was a huge part of my life also, and indeed, felt like losing a childhood best friend. Will never forget Edea as my first unit, Sefia as a unit I DESIRED from the gate, Phoenix as my fav healer, Shera as my fav mitigator, Vikki as the unit I DESIRED coming back from Hiatus when omnis were prevelant, and of course, Lico.
@@market6846 Lico was my first omni battle maiden, and when I got her, that started my whole carrier of completely wrecking the vortex arena lol. I also had Edea, and I didn't use her much, but something about her omni design is just perfect. In the last few months of the game, I made a team of my favorite original units, which I'd use in casual missions - Edea was part of it.
The Deemo boss music is M2U Magnolia and Myostosis. Marigold technically is the third entry of these types of songs. Check them out they are incredible

I loved this game.😢 I spent everyday playing from device to device starting in 2013 and literally had near maxed out account that I spent years playing day in and day out with over hundreds of dollars spent just on the cool gifts I could get in game.. I will miss this game and still hold out a small sliver of hope that one day that game will come back so I can relive the glory days of amazing animations as well as the power you feel of have awesome units at you side always keeping a smile on my face because I knew of the awesomeness that this one of a kind game held. I was introduced to this game by a co-worker at Jack In The Box back in 2015. Played the hell out of it. I was super hooked. The music and retro graphics were right up my alley, since I grew up playing all the 90's RPG's that were released in North America. Good times. I stopped playing often in like 2018 but came back to it on and off since then. Taking breaks of up to 2 to four months. Boy do I regret that now, I remember that final update message. Had no idea what was going on. Definitely am going to miss this one, it truly holds a special place in my heart (for nostalgia and beyond). Man, didnt even know the game had been shutdown. I was so addicted to this game back in 2015 - 2019, the graphic, the music,... just gave me the vibe of those retro rpg games. If it wasnt bcus i lost my phone and csgo became free at the same time, maybe i would be still playing it for 2 3 years (since the summon rate cant be more stupid than open a bayonet knife right? XD) As one who was addicted to this masterpiece, i feel blessed. Thank you Brave Frontier, that was a miracle journey
I just learned of what has happened to Brave Frontier a day ago, and now I regret not playing it one more time. I can recall that my original account got deleted due to a hack and had to spend days recover what's left of it as a kid, then cherishing every moment I had with that account. As the years went by, I would play less and less, but would check in here and there for crossover events. My last official gameplay time was the Trigun event, hoping getting Vash as a unit, but only getting Meryl & Milly as a dual unit. I have spent easily 2000-3000 hours playing this game. I will always remember the good and the bad of this game, epically with "Karna Masta". And I'm proud playing this game for years without spending a single dollar for gems, and proud I Beat and finished the main storylines of the game and 60-80% of the side storylines. I know I couldn't had the Thanatos rank or Level 999, but I was proud having my Level in the hundreds and probably 15 or so ranks away to be the top. Although I couldn't Max out everything, I had fun. My Proudest achevment was Beinging in the Top 500's in the Vortex Arena for Season 2 of the Dark event and gaining "Giselbert's Honor" and placing it on my "Zeref" with the "Book of E.N.D.". I just hope I could have a private server for my account to have my Comrades on hand

I was going to download Brave Frontier again just because I got a lot of nostalgia. There was an event in Europe wtih Valkyries and I remember I obtained the blue one. I'm very sad Brave Frontier is gone.
This makes me sooooo sad! I played from 2013-2020 or 21. Went back the other day to see what was new and got hit with the closed screen. It was a gut punch! This brought back a lot of memories!
I have been playing this game for so long, it was the best gacha game I have ever played. Even though Gumi kept losing everyone's accounts easily (I made like 6 accounts total and kept grinding, each one 200 - 300 in terms of leveling before gumi kept losing my progress over and over) I still loved it because every unit was cool asf. Too bad I wasn't there in it's final moments because I could never recover my last account. I heard there is a project called Brave Frontier ReCoded, something along those lines, who are trying to attempt to restore the game if you don't know about it. My favorite units that I can remember rn were Mankai Sakura Miku, Galtier, Sirius, Lunaris, Edea, Zelnite, and more. The last unit I remember getting before I lost my last old account again was Feng, a unit I really wanted (and ofc I got her oracle lmao). This is an awesome video, thank you for making it
I started playing this game when i was 6, on my old kindle. I can hardly remember that time now. I miss this game. It was everything i have ever wanted from such a game.
I am insanely sad at this moment. Brave Frontier was my favorite mobile game and will always be. I just remembered how many quests that I haven't finished and how many characters I have summoned and always planned to build the strongest squad. I've never been this sad over a game. I love Brave Frontier and wish with all my heart for it to come back

I played brave frontier from 2011 to 2015 with a few stops here and there. I stopped playing because guild wars was a fucking mess to play (always server issues, desyncs), GUMI always pushing for new units and not fixing the game ultimately drove me out of the game but let me tell you something, no mobile game made me feel the joy, the excitement and the awesome community we had was worth it. Thank you for the video and thanks to brave frontier for the moments 😁
Man i still miss this game. No other mobile game has even come remotely close to how god damn fucking amazing this game was. The first 2 years of this game was absolutely magical. I remember downloading brave frontier not long after it came out and i was instantly hooked. If anyone sees this and can recommend me a game close to this (other than ffbe because its gone down the toilet) od be extremely grateful.

Damn… I still remember when I started playing this game all the way back in 2015 during the summer vocaloid event. I remember I was so happy to get Hatsune Miku with my team, every last battle before I got her was down to the wire. I stopped playing in 2019 due to a loss of time and interest in the game… Just so happens the time I want to come back to the game to see how it progresses it shuts down… I made a lot of good memories in this game, and I’ll never forget it. Here’s hoping we can get a continuation of this game somehow. Would love to be able to play it again, even if I have to start all over.

My first ever mobile gacha game in 2013 and was my favorite that time, until when ALIM japan shutdown BF1 and left only GUMI global. Stopped that time because GUMI only makes it into a pay to win game which is not fun anymore. But good memories, also gathered some friends with this game. I just tried reinstalling it after getting a better phone and now I can’t 😢 I remember my dads coworker showed me this game and I was ADDICTED. I still remember his face when I showed him I had Crusher God Uda and Gold queen Rina (I think it was gold queen, I remember queen being in it lol) and he was omg that is insane ive been wanting uda for the longest and you maxed him out?!?! Years ago I played the game but I was wondering if they took him out the game because of how strong he was?? But yeah this game was so awesome. And I really miss it😢😢
I remember when the game 1st dropped I had an old ass samsung touch screen that could barely support the game at all and managed to claim the username "Pain" I remember thinking to myself that this game was gonna be a huge part of my life now after beating my first raid boss truly down that the game has ran its course maybe someday hopefully one the developers make a come back with a new and improved Brave Fontier maybe add a special title to it like Brave Frontier: Infinite or Ultimate would be dope af but ahh what a world we live in to watch great things end feels sad mane feels bad...
