Brave mama seal fights eagle to save her baby 

I love eagles and seals and all animals, but sometimes I really hate the cruelty of nature, even though I understand it. 😢

I know the eagle is only following its instinct for food, but I'm glad the baby is OK!

This is beautiful for the seals, but heartbreaking for the Eagle, whom I love equally. The eagle has a family to feed. But I bet he wasn't expecting mom to be around. ❤

NEVER underestimate the determination of a mother's fight to protect her baby!! 💪🦭 It was heartbreaking to see that precious baby in the talons of that eagle!! 😥💔 But momma said you are not taking my baby!! I love how so many people in the comments say they are so happy the pup made it. We don't know of it did. We don't know its injuries and if he can overcome them. Deep puncture wounds in his face, possible eye damage, possible nose damage where he cant close his nostrils very well anymore.. Any of these injuries may be enough to kill him in a few days or prevent him from hunting for food efficiently when he grows up.

I’m happy the eagle didn’t get the baby seal in the end. My only worry is that the talons of an eagle are very strong and cut deep. They way it had that pup seal in his talons had to have injured this pup seal. I am afraid that the pup could have rips in his skin that can infect. Out in the wild and with who knows what is in the ocean water, I’m afraid that baby seal could later die from his injuries. I hope it’s not true but only his mama knows and God. 🙏♥️🙏

fortunately a happy ending. those eagles talons are razor sharp. i hope the baby is alright. the sea water, if it is the sea, does a great job of healing. how terrifying for the mother and baby, i would have been over there shooing the eagle off. i live by the sea incidentally. nowhere near this though.

I hate to say it, but as I and others said in a comment below, please don't forget: the story doesn't end when the clip ends... unfortunately, you have to think further here! Such an eagle has razor-sharp and very strong claws and holds the young one directly by the face and mouth. These claws can easily reach the bone or even penetrate the bone. Infections caused by injuries and the inability to eat are unfortunately very likely to be a death sentence. The severity of the injuries is also certainly not insignificant. And dont forgetn eagle's are predators, not murders. It needs to survive like every animal. Please do not hate it for what it needs to do to survive. Its hard to see for me too but, thats nature, wonderful and awful.

Nature is cruel. Admire and respect the love of all the mothers regardless of species.
