I can't say why but rocketship sci fi never appealed to me . Not until Star Trek was there anything I considered intriguing . Scifi / Horror though was a bit more fun .... campy stuff like " I Married A Creature From Outer Space " or " Invasion of the Body Snatchers " were great favorites of mine .
Blacques Jacques - Space travel and rockets, that were exotic in the Golden Age of sci-fi, became hum-drum after Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. I remember “playing space” with friends in the 1950s. The box our console TV came in became my space ship, and I would imitate the corny rocket jargon
Mrnobodysprincess Can You tell me the name of the movie that begins at 40 min 13 seconds in, and ends at 41 min 07 seconds. something about Antarctica maybe giant plants, its hard to tell.
Blade runner has nothing to do with Philip K Dicks book. It would be great to see a real "Do androids dream" movie. I hope the copyright isn't screwed up with that Bladerunner nonsense. It's a fine movie in some ways, but... not Dick's story.
