That little spin he does at the end of the solo is a reference to the game. This song is the theme song of the character Ringabel, and whenever you win a battle he does that spin as his victory pose!

Judging from the thumbnail, this is the long vocal version, which isn’t actually in the game at all, but is definitely still worth listening too. The actual version of the song in the game is only about 90 seconds long and is instrumental only.

The in game version of this song subs out the vocals for the accordion. Each main character theme has a different lead instrument that symbolizes the voice of that character. Love's Vagrant is the voice of the ever charming womanizing amnesiac Ringabel, who is 100% the best character in the game, at least for me. PS. The pose Revo strikes at the end of the video is Ringabel's victory pose.

REVO gives me the impression of someone coming down from the big leagues to flex on video game OSTs. On top of throwing a concert so he can play accordion and sing on stage, all of his songs have a lot of needlessly complicated things that most people would not catch. Different character songs each have a specific (usually rare) instruments and the leitmotif game runs deep. Eyes That Gaze into the Nexus incorporates leitmotifs for 10 different tracks pitched differently to fit the song.

Revo wasn't a singer until Sound Horizon's 5th album "Roman". Before that, Aramary did most of the job. Aramary's leave after 4th "Elysion" brought great change to Sound Horizon.

Ever since you said in the first video that you like the accordion, I've been waiting for you to react to this song at some point and here we are :D In his newer original albums Revo always sings the first song, so he's getting better, and yes, he sings, he plays guitar, accordion, and in one of the older lives also the bagpipe - so, as you said "him" xD The funny thing is that I got both Bravely Default and Bravely Default II solely becaue of Revo composing the music. But the gameplay was really good, too, I had lots of fun with both! Ringabel (this character) is a really good bean and positive, yes! But not a role model at all as he's a philanderer, hence "Love's Vagrant" :3

9:22 - Convenient! Because for the first chunk of the game, he doesn’t either! He’s an amnesiac who everyone calls Ringabel because something about him rings a bell. All he has to hint him as to who he is is a journal in his handwriting. However, all the events inside are future events, he soon realizes, and many of them talk about another party member, Edea, who he apparently will fall in love with. The lyrics of this song mostly talk about the brief memories he thinks he can almost see, and how, despite their beauty, the girls around him aren’t Edea, so he’ll keep searching for her. Ringabel’s a massive flirt and most people’s favorite of the main four for a myriad of reasons.

Ringabel's theme went way harder than it needed to and it was glorious. Makes me want to find my DS and play the first Bravely Default again.

Greetings from Mexico! This is my favorite videogame on 3DS and part of that is because of its music, so I'm glad you like it. If you are into turn-based games with a big focus on jobs, this might be a game you would enjoy.

for every Bravely Default soundtrack, or every Revo soundtrack even, you'll find solos of every main instrument that plays in the song. usually piano, the two guitars, drums, and the violin gets a solo. hope you'll check out the battle medley from the concert, because it's absolutely insane! thank you for reacting to Linked Horizon music! Hello Jesse's, not related to videogames, but if you like the accordion and the composer for Bravely Default (Revo), I really think you should check Sound Horizon. A good start would be Koibito wo Uchiotoshita hi (live), you can find it even subbed, nice lyrics.

It's worth noting that these character themes and how the songs are written are actually a game mechanic. In game, they're all 90 seconds each, and when you build up and use a special ability it gives the entire party a buff for the 90 seconds of the music playing. If you use another character's special during this time, the old buffs continue and the timer is started again with their 90 second theme. Every song grows more intense near the end to warn you that time is running out if you wish to continue the chain!

Revo is one of the few who can join Soken at the "We only make bangers" table

Not sure if anyone said it but the composer is Revo, who is probably more famous for performing the Attack on Titan opening Crimson Bow and Arrow. This man is an ABSOLUTE LEGEND. Listen to any Bravely Default 1 or 2 music and Crimson Bow and Arrow, along with like 3 other songs he did for AoT.

Yes! So excited you got this. I was so hoping to see this version on the channel. Thank you Patreon, Alexander!. It's a fantastic concert all around. Seeing Revo go at it with an accordion is amazing not to mention everybody else. Ringabel as noted in another comment, is yeah, positive, not the best of role models lol. He's also an amnesiac and his story ends up being quite a lot with some pretty emotional connections without going into spoiler territory. He's a neat character and one of my favourites in the party. It's fun game and a good throwback to the classic Final Fantasys; in fact quite a few things are pulled from FF. You mentioned more Bravely Default coming. Excited to see what else is on the, ahem, horizon 😀

Gotta recommend the battle music medley from this concert, which has Conflict’s Chime (the regular battle theme), Fighting to the End (the boss theme) and That Person’s Name is, which is similar to the in game version you heard but with some twists

I love this game so much. Bought the soundtrack a while ago. One of the best JRPG OSTs ever I think.

Game itself is definitely worth playing. There’s a pretty controversial decision they made almost halfway into the story, but the payoff is insane. #1 JRPG on 3DS for me, and definitely top 3 of all time.

The character themes are great in bravely default because the game uses turn based battles and you can use an ability to buff the party and when you do it the character song takes over the boss music and the buff lasts for the duration of the song. Also the character this song goes to is your classical “rose in the teeth” guy hitting on everyone

"This man just *oozes* style and drip." Yeah, that's *probably* why he was chosen for Ringabel's theme song,,, that or it was thoroughly rehearsed before the stage show... probably both tbh. That and he clearly plays a mean accordion which is an absolute must for Love's Vagrant.

5:41 This same melody, or at least the chord progression, can be heard on the title screen! It's one of the main themes of the game, I believe. Regarding the characters' themes showing up in the final boss track, I'd strongly suggest saving the final boss theme of Bravely Default 2 until after you've listened to most of the rest of the soundtrack, if possible - it does something similar, and I personally found it a much better experience to be able to recognize those melodies. Though I also understand that would be hard to do with the request format. xP

You haven't really heard accordion outside of Mexican music? I have some suggestions for you (not for reaction videos, just for your personal listening) 1. Weird Al plays it sometimes 2. They Might Be Giants, John Linnell is one of the frontmen and he plays it sometimes (also plays keyboard and baritone saxophone), he has also done some solo work 3. Jackson Parodi, does vgm covers on accordion and recently also keyboard

In terms of gameplay, the Bravely series is essentially old-school Final Fantasy under a new name.

Didn't know there was a vocal version of this song... And I prefer waaaay more the orginal version, they removed 90% of the main instrument (the accordion) to put the voice. But that accordion really was the core of this music. If you love accordion, I highly recommand you to listen to the original, it's way shorter though.
