I went back and forth on whether to use "Ancient Shackles" or "Hic Svnt Leones", but I thought the lyrics of the latter were too distracting. Just know that Hesperos was on my mind too!
Finding this channel after claiming to my friend edea / ringabel will be first character announced in the next smash. I do hope square wont let the serie die.
I thought people would have my head if I didn't at least show them off somewhere here. I didn't include them in my decision for the girl's tier placements, but I thought it would be nice to have on screen either way.
i only found out about this playthrough of yours recently, so ive been doing a lot of catchup from the start of it i just wanna say tho, that your videos are utter SOUL. your writing, your editing, the fact that you're even playing one of my favourite hidden gems in the year of our lord 2023 to 2024 - IM IN LOVE 😭😭😭 keep doing what youre doing, i truly hope this channel grows even bigger, you deserve it 🙏
Thank you so much for the kind words, it really makes my day!! I also hope you continue to enjoy the Bravely playthrough and the future videos to come!
I remember using the Vampire and Spiritmaster class for Agnes during my playthrough. Spamming white wind into getting more free special attack buffs because I was dual wielding staves. It was a really fun build and it just allowed for something different from what was currently available.
I don't believe your video mentions this specifically, but I wanted to put it here for anyone else because I am finding out the hard way. It seems like there are a variety of Genome skills ONLY available in Chapter 4. The enemies in the world change starting in Chapter 5, so you will miss out on skills like Earthquake until the END of the game and the optional dungeon if you don't grab them in Chapter 4. I thought I would grab everything all at once in 5 after grinding. Not the case. Thankfully, it seems like this doesn't apply to any of the good ones. ALSO, it seems like HASTEN WORLD will mess with enemy AI so they may not ever use some of these moves -- like skeletons using Bone Crush.
This is what I felt for my first playthroughs of the game...but eventually, I would plan out what I wanted to do with the Vampire ahead of time, meaning I only needed like 3 or 4 abilities. Much easier to manage than having to go searching for 20+ imo!
I love blue magic in final fantasy games but i gotta say, vampire being one of the last jobs you get made me never want to use it no matter how useful it is. Yeah i know you could get genomes in the 2nd cycle onwards but it still is a massive pain. Rare case of bad desing in this game.
It definitely is strange to have a job that requires so much prep to not only unlock, but also to have good results with slapped right before the second half of the game. Thankfully, if you know what you want to do with the Vampire before you get it, you can skip most of the Genome abilities and just focus on the few you need...but that still doesn't fix its problems.
Collecting Genome skills was a big sidequest on it's own, but that's still better than Post chapter 4 killing all bosses over and over, lol (still suffering PTSD from that) The weakness towards undead is not a problem as undead are probably the easiest enemies to beat by healing them/cast raise on them The vampire job itself is fun with how many different abilities it has, although it's a shame Salve Maker has more to offer.
The fact that this is the only job that allows you to use -Ja elemental tier, ...and to be able learn that too, is from the boss enemies that raid on your village. Which is kind like exclusively annoying 😂
A Rise from Dead + See you in Hell build, anyone? Also i only now remembered that "See you in Hell" is called "Fahr zur Hölle" (the german version of "go to hell").
@@Jadersgames I guess the localisator also liked the game a lot, so he did his best.^^ Also, german is a great language if you want to sound the hot-blooded kind of indimidating. If you have nothing better to do, i would recommend to you to find one of the clips of the german localisation of Full Metal Jacket. The VA for Gunnery Srgt. Hartman did a spectucalar job making him sound intimidating and shouty.
I'd have to agree, especially since there are certain abilities that become impossible to obtain until the end-game...which is definitely more annoying than anything.
I do have plans to cover the other games in the franchise at some point down the line, yes. I don't have a set release window for them as of right now though, as I have been revising my process for making these videos.
Pretty much all of the extremely powerful magic in Bravely Default have steep costs, ranging from 60 to 99 MP per cast. Honestly, if you aren't trying to cut the cost of your spells with items or abilities, then yeah it can sort of feel like a waste. However, if you intend to use the -ja spells, if you use the Swordmaster's "Free Lunch", then they have no cost at all! Powerful magic that is free of charge!
