I am a Korean who has been supporting Braves since I served in the Navy 10 years ago. If Braves wins this year, it will be more valuable and shiny than any other story. Don't forget that Braves fans from all over the world are cheering for you and keep moving forward.

Losing Charlie is a huge hit but I have confidence our guys. Minter really went above and beyond this game and it’s good to see Luke Jackson going back to what everyone knows him as.

I am a blue Jays fan but I started out as a Braves fan as a child because I would watch their games during the Chipper Jones era over on TBS. It would be incredible to see this time who has a rotation of ambitious players win this.

I've been an Atlanta fan for decades, so I'm used to watching them fold. Yet, while early, this team is playing like it's their destiny to win it all. The entire postseason run has been awesome!!

After 26 years of excruciating waiting, it’s brave of the Braves to be afraid of none, whether you’ve got 106 wins or third appearance in the WS in fives years. They have an incredibly stronger desire to win the championship than anybody else. The Braves are simply unstoppable now!!!

Although I am a Dodgers fan, Braves is the only other team I would root for. Good luck for the rest of the series!

Morton is huge loss for the Braves. Especially with how good the Houston lineup is. You could always count on him to get you 5 plus innings and 3 or fewer runs it seems. Anyway, hopefully they still pull it out!! Go Braves!!!

I've been waiting for the Braves to go to the World Series for years. I really hope they win.

The 2021 Braves are so similar to the 2019 Nationals. Both were struggling and under .500 before the All Star break, but after a few key trade deadline deals both get hot in the second half and won the NL East. Then both beat the Dodgers in a series where the Dodgers were favored, and then both played the Astros in the World Series. Hopefully Atlanta can get it done just like the Nationals did 2 years ago.

I had Googled to find out if Braves radio would be broadcasting the games, but EPSN must have paid to have that info censored as I only saw ESPN radio. Ever so glad to hear Braves announcers' clips. I won't be tortured by Joe Buck for the remainder of the series. Neither will I ever return to MLB clips or videos here on RU-vid since you can't seem to let us watch the recap without interrupting us every 30 seconds with a bloody commercial!!!

Granddads favorite team. Would watch games all day with him when I was young! Go Braves!!!

A few observations. The Braves jumped on Framber early and took advantage. After Framber was pulled, the Astros bullpen only allowed one run. The Astros bats were not on point. More players have to step up besides Alvarez, Tucker and Brantley. I'm sad for Charlie Morton. That's unfortunate. Not taking anything away from the Braves, they took care of business and capitalized on Framber's bad start/game. My word of advice is to not get too excited. It's only game 1. The Astros aren't just going to roll over and give up.

Can Fox please get rid of Joe buck. 🤖

Jorge Soler set the tone for the World Series, for the first time in History the leadoff hitter hit a Home Run in the World Series.

Astros got of 6 balls hit over 95 MPH but were hit into outs while alot of the Braves hits were grounders through holes - including a check-swing infield hit. Bases loaded in the first inning and a red-hot Tucker grounds out and then in the next two at-bats gets line-drive hits with no one on base - bad timing, to say the least, when Astros needed big hits in key situations. Gurriel was unlucky, hit a 102.4 scorcher up the middle only for it to hit Morton's leg (sorry Charlie, we love ya) and ended deflected to first for an easy out and another where a near-homerun could've been an easy double but the Braves outfielder got a perfect bounce toward him to throw out Yuli easily at 2nd. Once I saw these unlucky plays unfolding I knew it wasn't the Astros night. I'm confident the Astros will bounce back and win this series. Go Stros!
