This happened on my 21st birthday. I was at Pluckers on shepherd and during the game, multiple people were standing on booth seats cheering, strangers were hugging each other, you couldn’t hear anything over the roar of people. Watching one of the best games in baseball w my friends and family (and other very excited Astros fans) was the best gift I could’ve gotten

Bernard Poindexter what is a baseball game then? What you saw was a combination little league, beer league, slow pitch softball, and the World Series at the same time. There is no game where you can fully say that’s baseball. It’s a classic game and it was a fun game. Pitching was bad, but the excitement was there.

Let's count 'em off so far. Game 1: low-scoring pitcher's duel, tied until the 6th. Game 2: back-and-forth seesaw affair, tied in 9th, tied in 10th, nearly tied in 11th, 7 out of 13 runs scored in extra innings. Game 3: mundane, lead taken in 2nd and never relinquished. Game 4: low-scoring pitcher's duel, tied until the 9th. Game 5: absolutely bonkers. So yes, this has been a very exciting series so far, although I wouldn't yet crown in the best. Let's see what the two teams now do in LA.

Take it from a Texas Rangers fan, that greatest sports moment will turn into a nightmare if they don't raise the flags at the end, 2011 World Series, up 3 games to 2, bottom of 9th, two outs and the Rangers are one strike away, David Freese at the plate, most gut renching sports moment in my life. Finish the deal Houston, do what the Rangers couldn't do up 3-2 on the road. The closest Texas has gotten to winning a series.

i remember watching this game in the common area of my dorm room my freshman year of college. there were about 10 of us there and hardly any of them had ever seen a baseball game before, but they were all getting so hype and i think this game brought them into the sport which is cool to think about.

I remember my family losing everything due to Harvey, my parents were the most stressed and sad. They didn’t watch baseball. I explained the rules, scores, etc, and seeing them so happy after a long time will always stay in my memories. Thank you Astros!! Now all they do is watch the STROS!!

Bro that legit brought tears to my eyes. Baseball is such a beautiful sport. There's so many life lessons to be learned in it. Probably my favorite stat is that you are considered successful if you succeed 3/10 times. It teaches you that it's ok to fail and to go through hardships, if you keep grinding and eventuall you'll succeed. I wish more people loved this sport and understood it fully because it'd be 10x more popular.

@@mtn7836 Just because the pitching was terrible and there were a lot of runs scored back and forth doesn't make it the greatest game ever. 2016 WS game 7 was better because of the implications it had. Both teams in huge WS drouts, it came down to the last inning in the last game. Nothing will top that one for a while.
