MLB can't get it through their thick skulls that Atlanta has a nice size Marketplace and fans across the country because of Ted Turner and TBS years back. They think of Atlanta as a backwoods small town when we are in the top10 largest metro areas by population.

It's close. Huge Braves fan but I'm tired of people downplaying the Year Mookie's had. It's not a small case at all btw. It's uncomfortably close. Let's look at the numbers. Mookie: 7.8 WAR, .317 BA, 38 HR 98 RBI, Leads the league in SLG (.622), OPS (1.034), OPS+ (175), and Total Bases (310), and has a 177 wRC+. Those are all elite numbers and he's having a very similar year to his 2018 MVP season with the Red Sox. Ronald: 6.7 WAR, .337 BA, 30 HR 83 RBI, Leads majors in OBP (.419), he's SLG .574 with a .992 OPS and a 164 OPS+ with 308 TB, 62 Steals and a 167 wRC+. I don't really give a shit if Betts "just turned it on" (the same stale argument from all Braves fans) because that's BS. You don't have a 175 OPS+ out of thin air, and certainly not based on one month. For me, it's pretty close, but I ultimately give it to Ronald because of 30/60, and also he may get to 40 HR which would absolutely seal it. @@luiss.3866

First, both teams are great, and both Acuna and Betts are also great players. If in you assessment Acuna is better, I'm happy for you, I think Betts is a great player too. Secondly, the highlights are not too long. In 5:14, you will see the reaction I referred before, but I couldn't find Betts' reaction to the grand slam. Could you identify that minute in the highlight? Have a great buddy.

Pretty sure they flip flop using the feeds from announcers from both teams. Hence the reason a guy thinking a 3 run homer is better than a slam.

Mookie had two home runs. It's not his fault there were fewer men on base lol. He probably wouldn't have stopped that homer (especially since he hit it). But Outman would have done better than Acunà on that play.

Both Acuna and Mookie deserve consideration and each has a valid case. Mookie has already won couple of MVP's it's Acuna's turn now. If you base it just on RBIs and home runs then Matt Olson should get consideration.
