Honestly the MVP of this series was the entire pitching staff. The Braves average 6 runs per game. If they put up what they averaged it would have been a 3-1 series in Atlantas favor. The Phillies managed to win 2 separate games with only 3 runs scored. The way the pitchers made the Braves’ bats look like a below average offense is nothing short of spectacular. They made this series a piece of cake for the Phillies offense.
Was stationed at Philadelphia Naval Base from 77-80 as an 18 yo from Oklahoma. Became a Phillies fans and have been one ever since, I transferred from Philly after game 2 of the 80 World Series. Would love to go back someday during BB season to watch the Phillies again and get a real Philly cheesesteak. GO PHILLIES.
I wanted to beat the braves so BADLY. Been going to war with them a lot lately. They don’t like us and we sure as hell do not like them. You could tell during the regular season they think pretty damn highly of themselves despite the humbling we gave them last year. But once they knew they were seeing the Phillies again in the postseason they got in their own heads. Their offense went COLD. And then arcia goes and makes it worse for themselves. This series was such an epic performance by this team as a whole. I’m just happy we get another series of #redoctober baby! This series was what being a fan is all about!
I'm from germany and i have'nt watched a full baseball game since 2017.... but what the phillies done the last 2 years have me fully hooked up again. I enjoy the game and the Storys have even floated to over here. Sry for my poor language 😅. I'm so hyped for every game thx to the phillies, there amazing Fans, the unbelievable Atmosphere, the Team and the howl vibe of the city. I will never be able to affort the trip and the tickets to watch a live game at CBP... but man would i give away my last shirt for that. Thx Philadelphia from germany for the amazing experience and for bringing me back to the game fulltime 🙏🏻 i really appreciate that. GO PHILLIES
You can hop on an early/cheap EasyJet flight to London to watch them play the Mets on 8th & 9th June next year! It's a special 2-game series for the Phillies in London. I think the tickets start at around 45 euro.
@@VitalityMassage The DBacks only dominated because the dodgers pitchers all had meltdowns. And also Game 2 could have swung the Phillies way too, if not for that error. None of that matters anymore though. The Phillies shut down the best offense in baseball.
Harper and Turner undoubtedly most talented players on this team, but man Nick C is something special in his own glorious way. Smoothest swing I’ve seen in a long time
I don't even care about the Braves fans that were talking all that smack. Philly fans knew what was going to happen. Time to get ready for AZ. Go Phillies! #Unphinishedbusiness
@@rg11063highest winning % at home all time, hitting 10 homers in 2 games, shutting down the supposed best offense of all time. I don’t think so buddy. Time for you to sit back and watch the real MVP #3
@@rg11063Braves offense was cold, don’t know why they can’t seem to get their shit together in playoffs. Phillies are a different breed during Playoffs. They’d be such a fun team to watch if their fanbase wasn’t comprised of such incels. If Braves won this series they would’ve had a much better chance to win it all than the Phillies do.
As a braves fan, I’m happy for you, this is maybe the last year you’re good. Unlike you, we will continue to grow as a team and become even more stacked
@@trashpanda8658how? If we’re assuming no one comes back, the Phillies would only really lose Nola and Kimbrel next year and Wheeler after 2025. It’s not until 2026 they would lose any current batter in JT and Shwarber
The Braves might as well not even show up to CBP in October. They turtle up more than any team I've ever seen. That's what you get for all the trash you talked over the course of the season. October is for real teams only.
METS fan here. RESPECT to the Phillies: knocking out the Braves 2 years in a row. Hate both teams seeing they are division rivals, but i gotta give respect where it's due and the Phils earned it: underdog 2 years in a row and both times beating the Braves, the favorite who had the best regular season record. At least the Phillies know how to show up in the Playoffs...hopefully my METS can return to glory days like this soon.
@@Manny0404 @Neotenico Rest up my brothers. We need ya'll healthy and strong for the next series and beyond. Represent this city proud and well. Let the Dbacks and the world hear our warcry for the glory of Victory!
I honestly don’t think so, I played 1B for 7 years. Harper looks awkward on his catches at first even besides that play. He doesn’t stretch out enough into the catch. That avoids situations like that and also helps in a close play. I’m sure he’ll get better though he’s only been there a few months
Just when you think Nick's done it all, he becomes the first player with back to back, multi homer games in the post season! Having only listened to the game on the radio, it wasn't until watching these highlights that I could see how well he played that ball in the 9th that Murphy hit and nearly threw Ozuna out at 3rd! He really doesn't get the credit he deserves for his defense.
Way to knock off the Braves Phillies!⚾️🔥If the Phillies go all the way I don’t think any team will stop them. From an Astros fan. I’m Super happy for castanello and Turners postseason success.
I swear, Harper might have the most beastly HR stride, and Schwarber might have (if he ever hits the ball) one of the smoothest HR stride.. But MY LORD does Trea Turner have the most picture perfect sexiest HR stride in baseball. Go Phils!
As someone who played 1st base for 6-7 years. Someone needs to get Bryce stretching at first. Even on other plays not speaking about Olson, he was in awkward positioning and should be stretching more for the catch. It’s also easier to pick the ball when you do this
It's Red October for a reason braves fan!! You could a beat us by 100 games in the regular season. This team's built for the playoffs! You had no chance! Your lucky we let you win 1 game
If you are going to beat a homer team like the braves you knock more homers than them. The pitching for the Phillies was great , keep up the momentum. I was worried about not having Rhys Hoskins, and Homers coming from everywhere. Great win Go Phillies
As a Braves, you can obviously see the Phillies psychologically punked the Braves all series. Other than Spencer Strider And Austin Riley, everybody else was horrible..
Awakenbeerus is on fire, shutting down betting sites left and right with his spot-on predictions. He even called the outcome of this before the event even happened
Death, taxes, & the Phillies beating the Braves in the postseason.,…..,the 3 certainties of life. Well that was easy. Awfully nice of the Phillies to give the Braves the early lead in the last two games……..make them think that they had a chance.😆 Now it gets difficult, because now the Phillies have to face teams that actually show up in the postseason and don’t choke with regularity.
1. Why would I hate the Astros? They were a better team than the Phillies and they beat them legitimately. 2.Why would I hate the Braves? Playing them is as good as a bye. 3. Your salty tears are more delicious than usual. 4. You are as pathetic as the team you root for.👋
My mom went to bed early last night. I’m sending her this video. Not sure if she will watch it. Or say she did but didn’t. Idk her RU-vid experience. But, the 0.01% chance you are reading comments, love u mom! ♥️
As an Astros fan, i wanted the Phillies to win and I’m glad they won. But now I want the Diamondbacks to beat the Phillies😆 and eventually want the Astros to beat the rangers to meet the D-Backs in the World Series and so the Astros can win. May the best team win! Go Astros🤘🏼💯
@@stevengarrison1019 nah, whichever Texas team wins from that series, they’ll beat the Phillies and win it all. If Diamondbacks don’t do nothing on game 3 it’s over for them
I would absolutely HATE to be part of the Braves organization/fanbase right now. It's been two years in a row playing the best baseball in the NL, finishing 1st in the East way ahead of the Phillies, just fot those same PESKY Phillies to kick you out of contention in the division series. Two years in a row. Atta boy Braves
I cant believe how many people trust that these events arent scripted. Im out of this, now Im putting my trust solely in Awakenbeerus and his predictions
What a letdown by the dodgers, Braves and Rays. Didn’t even make interesting at all. Congrats to the diamondbacks, Phillies and Rangers on eliminating those frauds
The Braves had more of a fight in them this time around but Ultimately it wasn't enough... Great Clutch Hitting by The Phightins. UnPhinished Business!
now what to y’all have to say? @bravesfans ? “at least we won’t win the NL championship and lose the world series after getting cheated out of it after blowing a game to go up 3-1 in the finals”
This feels like a huge scam. I cant believe everythings rigged. These shows seem like distractions from the real deal. I hope Prophet Awakenbeerus can clarify things, especially since hes already predicted the exact outcome of the match.
Because of bat-flips and players admiring their hits from the batter's box instead of running the bases, this is my last year watching and following MLB - after doing so for 52 years. Goodbye.
Not really true. The first real bat-flip was by Juan Batista in 2015. It gradually has become more popular, and now maybe 1/4 of players do it. Perhaps more. The practice of admiring (potential) home runs while in the batter's box - rather than running the moment the ball is hit - is more recent. How many players could have gotten a triple instead of a double after admiring a hit that didn't make it out? Some only make it to first. It's disgusting. Players should be fined $500,000 for not running out a hit. When I was an umpire, I would have thrown out any player who behaved like this.
Classic Phillies making the last few innings as stressful as possible. Johan Rojas may not be swinging the bat well, but so long as he keeps making spectacular plays out in center that’s fine by me. Strahm coming in first and third with no outs in the 9th and not letting a single runner score was incredible. Oh, and Bryce, Casty, and Trea are pretty good too.
7th- Walk the bases loaded and somehow get out of it thanks to Rojas’ heroics. 8th- 1,2,3 inning facing Albies, Riley, and Olson (not an easy task) but of course we have the Harper elbow scare. I said to my buddy I would’ve preferred a Olson solo HR to Bryce getting hurt. 9th- 1st and 3rd no outs and somehow Strahm clutches up. I don’t think I breathed from the top of the 7th til the end of the game
The announcers were right saying Rojas is mainly there for his fielding and anything he adds with his bat is just icing. But that is a huge improvement to our defense and a key part of this team
