Brawl Stars DID SOMETHING Clash Royale Could NEVER 

How many of you guys play Brawl Stars, and how many of y'all love frank?

I think we're all just happy the f in f tier no longer stands for frank

This is one of the most negative communities I've ever seen

I think that is because if you are skilled enough in Brawl Stars you can kill any brawler, but in Clash Royale it is just the AI of the cards performing and there is nearly nothing you can do about it.

Dont forget that time were people were RAGING just because the 100 starr drops were delayed by one day to not make their servers ecplode

Hm, I'm thinking about that now, spawning one Ebarb at the rate it spawns the three normal barbs. That could actually be balanced if it stays at 6 elixir

to be fair, in CR you can make an overpowered deck around an overpowered card to make an overpowered strategy. you can't really make a bulletproof strategy in BS because every brawler has their obvious counters and bad matchups. 2 teammate brawlers that you probably won't have synergy with will support the overpowered brawler less than 7 cards that you specifically choose and control in-game.

Most people dont care if frank is gonna be op since brawl actually does fast emergency nerfs and even then, in the ranked gamemode, you can just ban him. Also frank in his design, will always be a brawler you cannot pick in any map due to his short range. Where as in class Royale, rheir emergency balance changes typically take longer and there is no such thing as banning cards because how would that even work

one of my favorite things about the brawl stars community is that they're supportive is the devs through thick and thin (bar the subreddit) being a part of the clash royale community felt way more vengeful, and that's part of the reason i took a step back, i really wanna play clash royale again but i don't wanna involve with the community again because i'm scared i'll pick up on those vengeful traits

Well it’s also just how deck build work work been cards they create cycle decks and mirror can become meta, plus they start being seen in each different deck. The difference is in brawl stars you know who you are fighting and it’s just one brawler not an overpowered card in a deck

I think that clash royal devs did that to them selfs. Clash royal has always had a toxic community but the money hungry devs made it worse

I disagree with that last take, every time supercell releases a good update and we try to praise it they git us with 30/40 dollar offers for op cards like goblin curse or goblin machine or removing wild cards from the seasonal shop, which is one of the best F2P ways to progress. CoC and brawlstars doesn't get this negativity because they LISTEN to the community a lot more than CR ever has

Here is my take on spawner buildings: Spawner buildings aren’t problematic simply because they are spawners - they are problematic because they can constantly chip the tower if ignored. This forces them to either stay weak, or become annoying even when statistically balanced. There is a healthy middle ground - a spawner that can’t chip the tower when ignored. This is why the Tombstone doesn’t get complained about as much for most of the game’s history, since it was the only spawner to not be able to chip the tower if left ignored. Yes, I understand that this would change the function of the card immensely by making it only usable on defense, but this will remove the most annoying aspect of spawners - passive offensive pressure. Since removing the ability to chip the tower would obviously be a huge nerf, it would need other buffs to make it balanced.

The Clash Royale Community WOULD be positive if not for 2 major reasons. 1. The devs are greedy and dont care about the playerbase at all. All they care and think about is the money that comes in. They see you as a walking ATM. 2. This game always evokes rage in players. People will always become angry and rant about how much they hate losing to a specific card. This will never change because it is the nature of the game to provoke players anger. You need to watch B-Rads video. He summed it all up: "I see so many comments saying Supercell's so generous they're giving us a free Evolution Shard. Oh my God, they're finally turning it around. Did you forget about level 15? Did you forget about how they monetized card evolutions by getting $100 offer? Did you forget about Cannoneer? Did you forget about dagger duchess? Did you forget about pass royale, $15 a month to get the new broken evolution? Did you forget about how they release broken cards, and the only way to max them is to spend money, and within a week they're nerfed? Did you forget about all that? But no, they're generous, right guys? They're generous. They give you that perfect match, they gave you a free mortar evolution last week, a couple weeks ago, maybe by the time I release this, I don't know. But you get what I'm saying, they're generous. Anyways, those people are really 🤦‍♂️. I just want to make sure you guys aren't 🤪. When they release this kind of stuff, they're literally realizing they're almost admitting their game is dying. Nobody has this stuff because nobody can afford to buy it. What would I do differently? You know what I'd do differently? I'd make a game players will want to play. Release features that are fun, that everyone has access to. And then guess what? You release things on the side of that which are monetized, maybe skins too, that are not pay-to-win. Once people are playing the game, if you get players playing the game, they're going to spend money. That's all you gotta do. But I think the only update since Clan Wars 2, that was a free update that gave players something new to do was the Goblins Queen journey, and that was a complete failure. But I have to say releasing a new Path of Legends or sorry, trophy road is good. They just screwed it up."

Frank is gonna be broken for a while but this is a strategy that is used a lot by brawl stars, they simply release their brawlers overpowered so that people will get hooked to like them, and when they get nerfed to a balanced state, some people will actually like them, unlike what happened with brawlers like willow, or the more recent event with doug, they started really weak, and even though they became much better, no one likes them

as a brawlstars player, the frank “rework” has no change on me due to me maining gale and bullying them from far range

I think the difference is that when a card is overpowered in Clash Royale, you see it so often it feels like everyone has it in their deck, but usually if a brawler is overpowered you still won't see it all the time

its because in brawl stars you actually get to make choices while in clash royale sometimes you really cant just do anything at all

I think it's because a single card change in clash can affect whole decks which is really hard to adapt to as a F2P. Brawlstars has this on a smaller scale

This is such a great take honestly. I personally love evos, tower troops, and champions. I felt level 15 was pretty awful but even then, it does give something to grind for. The CR devs make many mistakes and I can’t exactly say that they’re a good dev team, but between the greedy devs and the insufferably whiny community, I’d say the community is definitely worse at the moment. There are many additions that really aren’t half bad but the community always manages to twist every single last thing into something the devs are doing wrong and it drives me mad, I have never been more disappointed in a community. I really appreciate your take here, it’s rare to see a clash youtuber who’s willing to admit that the whining has seriously gotten out of hand, especially when the community will crucify you for any sort of sympathy towards the devs. Your videos in general are pretty good, you are willing to put your take out there no matter the reception (cough cough defensive Evo bomber ;)) and I think that’s pretty cool! Keep up the great work!

Upgrading a new brawler that just became meta is a lot easier than upgrading a whole card

Barb hut Evo: spawns ebarbs + immune to spell damage 😅

My prediction is that clash royale (who is known for adding similar things to brawl stars and at the same time (level 10-11/ level 12-14 and hypercharges/ evolutions)) will make the barb hut spawn barbarians faster with low health or spawn an elite barb once every like 7s with less building duration.

Difference is it's easier to change brawlers but it's harder to change decks

I actually fully agree with the "unnecessary negativity" take. Especially when you look through Twitter, every tweet you'll see would be a sweaty Clash Royale kid crying over some random shit just because they lost. If there's something bad about the game, it should be talked about in a civilized manner, instead of shouting the same "Clash Royale is dead" mantra every single change. The community should lift the game, not bring it down more.

Reminds me a lot about the genshin and hsr communities; despite only being in the latter, every single time we received qol updates or got generous rewards that genshin players never got I always hear about them complaining or trying to justify why genshin had way worse rewards. Some people just get so defensive about the games they play that they'd rather blindly defend them than realise how bad they're getting scammed.

Man i played brawl stars during the beta days. Friend told me about it and helped me get a vpn to access the game. Played the game and somewht enjoyed it. I lost that very og account with the beta shelly skin and probably more stuff. With the frank rework, its nice to see it be better, tho its very strong and kinda hope for a small damage nerf

The thing is that Clash Royale is more of a competitive game while BS is more of a casual game

They could just make it so that the barb hut releases like two elite barbarians over a period of time and then on on death (give it high health so that they’ll be spaced out and the third barb will be late). Just an idea

Also following up the balance changes and community events from brawl stars are much better, progresive and practical

I think the difference is that the barb hut or any spawner card is not fun to go against when it’s good. A barb hut buff serves to make matchmaking more annoying for most people, it’s like the Xbox being good.

It would only be able to send 1 e barb at a time as, if it was more than one they would need to nerf e barbs or make it 7-8 elixer because 5 elixer for a counter to win conditions AND cheaper e barbs rendering the e barb card useless

The thing is, Clash Royale cards are basically just tools that the king has, while Brawlers in Brawl Stars feel like people that you play with. Basically in Brawl Stars, you are the fighter, while in Clash Royale, you enslave somebody else to fight for you (the King). This is also what allows Brawl Stars players to bond with the Brawlers. You cannot really bond with the Clash Royale cards.

Clash royale be like:Here are 100.000 wild cards for every rarity for free! The community:yea definitely one of the things we need😂

The difference is we’ve been disappointed more than the brawl star’s community has we already don’t trust them and if they did something like that it’d kill the game even more

The community acts like the devs do. Brawl stars devs dont add an entire new level for every single character, that adds literally nothing new. If the devs act childish and put out unnecessary things, then the community is going to be unnecessarily hostile. Brawl stars devs are just built different

this isnt just a clash royale things, but live service games nowadays are just so nerf-heavy. they nerf and never buff because you rage when you lose. Buffing alternatives is a better option than nerfing a card because it makes everything more unique.

I think part of the reason it’s so negative is because partly because of how the game works - but also because of the recent updates and monetization.

The only think killing cr is the massive paywall that most of the stuff is locked behind. In minecraft you can just play for a long time in a single session to, lets say get full netherite armor, in clash royale you cant just grind infinitly because you dont get (without paying ofc) enough resources to be on the same level as someone who played it for longer but not so intensly and has purchased something so if you didnt consistently play from the beggining of cr you cant be fully maxed out without paying
