@@taintedforgottenoncrack499 Yeah, that was 9 months ago, what's your point? Ah yes, useless. Also levels don't matter but rather experience and how much you put your time into the game.
“A lot of pros are mad, including myself, that Brawlhalla doesn’t openly ban mods that give a competitive advantage.” Could’ve swore the last video you made on this you were over the moon about great it was and how Sandstorm used it in a tournament and you probably would too.
Idk if this is actually a good idea but one way they could do enforcement is by finding all the mods that they do approve of and put them in a workshop for brawlhalla. Then they could make sure that if there are any mods not in there in your game they'd know they were not allowed mods
a quick solution if you want to play tournaments and not break the rules, just verify the integrity of game files, right click on brawlhalla in steam, go properties, there will be some tabs at the top of the window that pops up, click on local files, and there u can find verify integrity of game files, after u click that, it should delete every mod or potential advantage that u may have on your computer
the swf jump mod is actually detectable. If you verify your files, steam would automatically replace the mod back to production (no color). That said, it shouldn't be hard to implement a mod checker in the game.
BMG has said that you can’t mod anything that doesn’t cost money, as if people mod the default weapon skin there wouldn’t be a way for BMG to actually gain money. Same thing for the skyforged stuff
considering that the mods are only forbidden on tournaments, you can make a backup of your game files with SANS, custom menus and avatars and literally just put it back when the tournament is over
I like the fact that if you play on console, not only you have to deal with input delay because you are using a controller, you also need to watch out for modders, you need to be a madlad to enable crossplay while on console
Yo cosolix, quick question considering you play at a competitive level to a degree you do already know where the weapons are going to spawn correct, because I have a near 90% to 95% chance of being correct when I say a weapon is going to spawn somewhere and I simply because I’ve been playing the game for a while like sense there weren’t any new legends
Hot take but I completely agree, it should just be in the game by default or maybe as a option. I think players should have all the information about their opponent as possible and this is just it. I think uncertainty about how many jumps your opponent has is just bad game design.
People don’t really use clients, they simply replace specific files with their own that are hard to detect. For example, png, sfx, you name it. The files can still have the same name with a completely different animation or picture
Most mods are 'retextures', people having fun and being creative. The main modding community (Modhalla) strongly discourages any game mechanics changes. In that community, with 1 or 2 exceptions which cant tell their methods, no one knows how to change the game beyond retextures and sounds changes.
I wonder if something like a mod that makes a weapon invisible so you can't see weapon throws would be banned Also meme mods exist and those don't give any advantage either, how would putting cross assets over a magyar skin suddenly put you in the same place as someone who used a mod to make jump counting easy
Brawlhalla Pros should consider themselves lucky tbh people in other games did less shit than this in other games and not even in tournaments (like video ideas on mods or hacks showcase , etc...) and they got perm banned
BMG can't have a list of individual mods that says which is allowed and which is not. For this list to work there should have been a person only to keep this list updated at all times because the should include every mod there is and every mod it's gonna be! Because this is not legit, they just say ,keep the background mods on competitive, everything else is banned. In the end that's only for the tournament,it's not so bad
Called it! Honestly though, I think just all mods should be banned for tournaments. If you really want that cool song just play it on spotify. And you can definitely play a few rounds with different map designs on screen (if you can't it'd be an advantage, no?). This also makes it very easy for the game to check if all game files are default and is absolutely 0% ambitious what's advantageous and what isn't.
It's not a good idea to list mods that could give a competitive advantage. While I don't hope people are dumb enough to make/use those mods, I also don't doubt that some are. That said, I love your vids, keep up the great work
I think that's okay since only you can see those. It doesn't help you hit the opponent better or something, unless that mod makes your sig looks super accurate to the hitbox.
ok so i wanna know.. do i have to uninstall brawlhalla and install? bcs i dont have the nonmoded versions of the moded stuff will anything happen if i uninstall and install?
lag is my bff if you uninstall and reinstall, all of your mods and replays will be deleted but other than that everything will be fine. So you should do it if you want to remove your mods, just save the replays you want to keep.
I downloaded the jump mod... Do I need to find the default files by myself or is BMG going to fix it for the playes who downloaded it on the next patch????? (tomorrow)
