I think platform fighters are legit fighting games and I like how rivals plays into archetypal character design, it’s something I wish Brawlhalla did a little more
I was very hyped about Rivals 2. Safe to say I was very disappointed by how they implement keyboard into the game. The game is clearly not designed to be played on keyboard and I don't think they are gonna change how the game works just for that. Also it might be just bad luck but i went to their discord and didn't have a very pleasant experience. People not taking me seriously because I like using my mouse (which isn't supported currently) for attacks and borderline making fun of me. Idk who thought having such poor keyboard experience would be a good idea for a Steam exclusive demo. Also there were people looking down on other platform fighters, lots of gatekeeping and overall very little positivity. I really wanted to try out a new platform fighter and was planning on buying Rivals 2 on release. Thank God the demo was free bc there is no way I'm buying it now. I'm glad you enjoy it but that demo was a huge miss for me.

what do you mean? isn't Rivals 2 a steam/pc exclusive game *right now*? i know they promised console ports eventually, but surely lan tourneys would provide some pcs for play, for the time being. in that case, attendants could just bring their own controllers (in this case, personal keyboards), the same exact way the pros do in bh
