Ronaldinho's vision was on another level, most people remember his dribbles and speed but his ability to pass the ball was so underrated, truly a legend
Before this wc, people had expected him not to play that good due to his leg fracture, but he surprised the entire world scoring 8 goals in that wc, each in every match except quater-final, and finally winning the wc...Nazario really is a legend🔥🔥
actually it was 2 ACL knees injuries. 1st in 98-99 and second in 2000-21. He had 1st injurie and in his come back he got the 2nd and exploded his knee! most common folks wont play ever again. He was like phoenix come back and give Brazil 5th title - unforgetabble i was 14
Kahn was a legendary GK who played in the same generation of great legendary strikers like Ronaldo, Rivaldo, and many others. Germany depended too much on Khan and that cost them a price.
A huge respect to KHAN and Congratulations to the team who gave the following legends to the football world! Didi, Pele, Zico, Romário, Kaká, Robinho, Cafu, Júnior, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos and Neymar Jr ❣
Ronaldinho was without a doubt the most skillful and entertaining player of all time….. when he signed for Barcelona he dominated football and la liga… he’s definitely the best football player ever. He’s speed, passing, skill, free kicks etc was all top level.
@@sophisticatedbeaver3569 and yet the man set a record of 15 WC goals and is regarded as one of the best in the world. All this after 3 knee injuries. Go troll somewhere else lol
@@zero2hero99 you're prolly to young when this world cup took place not being able to know the reason behind the haircut this shit was old! and he already said what the reason was. Kids these days missing out the real football!
Except Christoph Metzelder from Germany. That dude is part of the worst human beings on this planet, an absolute monster. Sadly he won't spend the rest of his life in prison because there were not enough edvidence for what he have planned and since he didn't commit the physical crime, he only got 10 months in prison because of the files on his Computer and Smartphone.
Would’ve scored 4 if it weren’t for the injuries. You can see how they affacted his speed and technique. Still managed 2 goals though, something most top strikers can only dream of
Definitely wasn't one of Germany's strongest teams, but had a very soft run to the final(Saudi Arabia, Ireland, and Cameroon in the group, plus Paraguay, USA, and South Korea in the knockout rounds.
the players from the past are still the best, all very exciting and very interesting, miss those days with the best legendary players from both countries❤
This is one of the best ever matches in football history. No not because Brazil won but because how both teams played and reacted to one another. Even the referee in this match was amazing and it was his last match internationally to officiate. I remember back then everyone loved that referee even the players.
Ronaldo.. What a perfect player.. without one knee (after 3 major knee surgeries) played like this.. You can see he played with pain.. this was 10% of his prime.. he is the idol of many tadays players.. he got the nickname "The Phenomenon" for a reason..🐐 👑
For me til today Ronaldo was and still is the best player ever, his skill sets are unmatched and he was the only player that I know consistently and comfortably dribbling past goal keepers in 1 on 1. Those were magical moments ❤
Eu tinha 12 anos nessa Copa...
You can just tell this from one of the many examples, that how good Ronaldo really was. This level of performance against Kahn, the all time top three goalkeepers according to me is just a dream of every footballer to happen with him/her just once in his entire career. And the man himself has done it so many times in such a short career is just completely out of this world!!!
I'm Brazilian and I was 9 years old wen that happened, I remember that as like it was today, that moment trully marked my life, in school we painted the streets with Brazilian flag, every boy had Ronaldo's hair, I'll never forget it for the rest of my life, that was the most legendary team Brazil ever had on a world cup
@@yanste3349 it wasnt the same team, in fact none of the legends were on that 7:1 team can you guys stop bringing that up for entertainment? What are you an Argentine fan or something?
It was the most legendary team overall to play world cup till since 2002 imo. Neither Brazil nor any other team had such a beautiful collection of talents since then.
I was 9 at that time, and my first ever game was penalty shootout south korea vs spain quarters. Then i watched the whole 90mins of Germany vs brazil. I was cheering for Germany and was depressed after they lost. But 4 Rs became my fav players after the game especially Ronaldinho.
I was 6 years old during this World Cup. Just remembering my Dad celebrating each goal as if he was from Brazil really showed his passion for Brazilian Football. We’re Salvadorean so we support our Latino Brothers so my Dad was always supportive for Argentina and or Brazil since they were and still are the top dogs in South American football. Memories that will last a lifetime and thankfully My Dad is still here with me at age 27 despite the World Cup being so early in the mornings I’m only able to watch it with him on the weekends but it’s better than nothing. This is Football. Who ever wins the World Cup in 2022, just know, thank You again for uniting us all in this Art of a sport 🙏 Update: Glad Argentina Won! Happy that Messi the GOAT deserved this win and what a Final! 🔥🙏
So true. I remember being a kid and hearing olds lament about how the squad wasn't as "magical" or skillful as some of the Brazil teams of the past, like the 70s and 80s, but it didn't matter. The three R's in their prime were elite and Ronaldinho was all the flair anyone could ask for. Not to mention, looking at all 16 teams in the knockouts... it was merely a battle for second place.
@@richpiana8020 best team at the tournament? Possibly. Best Italy team ever? Nah, the 1982 squad would have smoked Korea and left no room for shenanigans.
O Brasil estava amassando. Mereceu vencer.

actually most can re remastered, but not before 2002 wc, it was first hd tournament, south korea had hd stuff back then, its crazy, world caught up just in 2007 08 with hd tvs
I remember this game crystal clear, i was just about finishing my high school that time, what a battle, Ronaldinho and Ronaldo was in their primes, Brazil football team was invincible in those times.
If this Brazil team is in their peak right now, they would be the legend in this era. I mean, they played football like it wasn't a competition, but literally just like playing with their friends...
Man I still remember this like it was yesterday. I was only 8 years old at that time. Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Klose, Kahn, etc... So many legends played back then
Damn, I remember seeing this World Cup as a kid, and even going to crazy lengths to collect every card and sticker for the World Cup Japan album. Seeing this from Venezuela, and obviously rooting for our brothers in Brazil was monumental. I remember Ronaldo being a revered as a literal Titan amongst mortals, with Ronaldinho, and Rivaldo being legends amongst him. Even our home town exploded with Brazil’s win. I was awe struck and fascinated as a kid since it was my first world cup. Seeing this again as an adult I’m re-living all the excitement and I can see why. Every single play was, and is pure art and completely timeless. The intelligence and synchronicity between players is intuitive and natural, and it reminds me that sports like these are just a reflection of the incredible potential of human beings to do the unthinkable.
My dad introducing me to THIS Brazil team, is what made me fall in love with football. Ronaldinho has always been my favorite player, the man is just so good on the ball. Ronaldo could've had 4 goals this game.
I love watching kahn conceding this first goal after his huge mistake which led germany to lose the game. Literally the best moment of the entire tournament 🔥
I was a 12 years old brazilian boy (turned 13 the day after, july 1º), and I remeber how nervous I was. When Collina whistled the end of the match, tears of joy fell from my face. One of the best days of my life! Thank you Ronaldo, that was the best birthday gift i ever had! You are my idol. I love you!
I was 10 at the time, summer holidays in school, football all day long - either watching or playing. I remember watching this game all alone, 2 pm, nobody’s home. I was a huge fan of Oliver Kahn at the time. Big disappointment. Friends calling on home phone to discuss when it was over. What a time. I am in tears.
