Those waves looked scary, they can just suck you into the sea. And I wouldn't know where to swim to get back to the beach. I just know that you shouldn't try to swim straight to the beach and go around. Apparently this phenomenon can be pictured as a 3. The middle part is where the water masses suck you into the ocean and the side branches (the upper and lower part of the 3) are the areas where you are more likely to be pushed towards the beach again. I hope it makes sense. I have only somewhat of a vague idea of what I'm talking about haha
