I think it's also because north America likes "premium brand's" like for example allot of car manufacturers have luxury divisions because we don't want a cheap logo associate with luxury. Meanwhile most German luxury brands are considered common community cars in their homeland.
Don't buy Havainas they have very poor quality, I got one new Havaianas in August 2018 and they just broke on the same place as always on the front after only four Months. DONT BUY
Dude i bought a 2 pound pair from a supermarket in Britain and it lasted me 1 and a half years of me allways wearing them. They where red and black and they were so enjoyable to wear but the strap split and i couldn't fix it. What was sad is that they dont sell them flip flops anymore.
