Or you can buy just as amazing bags from talented craftsmen who are trained exactly the same and skip the Hermes name all together. That would be a better option but the masses aren't that smart.
For a long time, as Chanel prices went up, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy to have a *HOTDUPS* as a travel bag that I don't need to take care of. By the way, I'm sure no one would have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
I bought a LV bag gtdupe years ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The store clerk inspected my bag and immediately told me that the bag was of good quality. She pulled a current bag out of inventory and compared the tags and I found zero differences
The first purse I fell in love with was made by Hermes, don't recall the name (circa 2002, I was a freshman in college). Then I saw the price and said when I get older I will get one. 2022 and I still can't afford one.
You know my grandmother gave me a fake *esluxscom* preluxscom bag because she knew I like pretty things and she thought it was pretty too. I was 22 years old at that time. I really don't care. People thought it was true. When she died 4 years ago. To me, that bag is worth more than any of my bags and jewelry combined. Ignore them. this is precious to you.
Great video! The only things I would add is even if the SA likes you, you still have to get the final approval through the manager, so they may still want to see a spending history. Also sometimes its easier to get a bag from a new SA because they don't have other clients waiting for bags, and they need the numbers for their goals.
Just don't buy luxury brands .... simple. The secret is .... most people don't know this but, these things won't bring you happiness or solve your life's problems ;)
It’s the same thing in the U.S. you don’t get one of these bags just by walking in the boutique. You have to spend in other categories and go often so the SA remembers you and will maybe one day offers you a bag. It’s money but also time consuming.
If I have to study and do a test just to buy one of those bags, they can get stuffed. The only reason women want these bags is the scarcity because people, especially these days, don't like to be told "no, you can't have one". Hermes is sneaky and very clever in how they make their products "scarce". It's like how De Beers controls the diamond market.
It's funny - they want these things because they are exclusive, and then they complain about what _makes_ them exclusive. If anyone can get one of these bags anytime they want, then they're not exclusive anymore, are they?

That’s funny I hardly associate them with the kardashians though I can see how many would and ruin Hermes’ image. I have always loved the brand’s heritage and that’s what’s stuck with me
The automotive segment (Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche, etc) makes the same for years and the customer accepts. Only to a loyal client will be offer the oportunity to adquire some rare super cars. If a client really like the brand, are a fan and have money, the client will wait without complain and it will not resell it.
They have successfully pulled off the Jedi mind trick. Be rude to potential customers, make them prove their loyalty. Then you may extend to said customers the opportunity to purchase more expensive items.
Insightful to know that Hermes wants you to buy the non selling products like shoes or jewelry to be offered a bag. That's actually just sales. They must move the other products but they don't own thoses spaces. Other couture houses do. Its nice to know that Hermes are not a monopoly...they suffer from surplus and low sales like anyone else.

I know people who make over 200k a year but they only buy *hotdups* . No one would question their bag because of their profession, so why spend thousands on the same bag? It's so refreshing to see people spending their money wisely.

My question…wondering if a Birkin or Kelly is a comfortable bag to carry. You can’t sling a Birkin onto your shoulder right? So is either bag weighty on your forearm? Or are you supposed to carry the larger Birkins with a clasped hand. Seems possibly cumbersome, and perhaps a clumsy requirement for a larger bag, when it is? Admittedly, the bags are super chic if living in an urban setting.
