I cringe a bit when i see other brazillians commenting online that we should separate the language from european portuguese and classify it just as "brazillian", as if the diversity of portuguese is something bad But that's deffo a minority extreme, most people would make fun of portuguese from portugal and yes some do take it far, but dont have anything actually against it, and do it for fun (or because it's sometimes hard for us to understand y'all)

My girlfriend doesn't speak a word in Portu and once she talked to a brazilian guy. He asked her whether she spoke brazilian and having made sure she didn't the guy decided to play a joke on her and said that "thank you" in Portu would be "come a minha boceta (not sure about the spelling). I smelt a rat for I knew it was "obrigado/a". So I found the translation of the last word and told her to block the liar and report his profile

It comes from French "biche", which means "female deer". It was meant to describe a more feminine and sophisticated "veado".

Falar a verdade quem tem a obrigação de falar o idioma é quem chega e não quem está aprender o de quem vem kkkkk n tiro muito a razão deles nao falarem inglês, é tipo no Japão a maioria não falam inglês, uma ou outra palavra.
