I can't believe she passed away. I started listening to her a few months ago and she is one of my favorite artists ever. God Bless her; Heaven has gained another Angelic voice.
I agree that whoever placed the title on this piece about Astrud Gilberto must have a bit of lying and scamming in his/her family bloodline. I loved this woman's singing she was great. Many people say she is truly the girl from impanema but actually she isn't. The writer was at his beach home in Brazil and everyday he saw this blond girl walk by his front window taking a leisurely stroll down the sandy beach. He never found out who she was but he wrote the "girl from Impanema" which was about this girl. Astrud Gilberto sang the song and turned it into immortality!
Yes. USA news did a piece on her, Heloisa Pinto-Pinheiro her name. She would walk somewhere most days and Jobim was inspired by her. She's still kickin' today as far as I know, unlike our beloved Astrud . . . Hilarious: at first Jobim didn't even know her name . . then in later years this lady opened her own beauty salon called The Girl From Ipanema and Jobim sued her!🤣
Yes. I had to look up "last words of Astrud Gilberto" just to confirm that this video is fake clickbait. I also note that the narrator pronounced Eliane Elias's name as "Elaine Elias". What a fraud.
If people would just give this video a thumbs down for using Astrud Gilberto as a false clickbait to make sponsorship money, then maybe they'd have a respectable video title honoring her !!!
The only creepy thing about this unhealthy vid,is the robotic f'in voice of the narrator ! I too loved this Girl,and miss her.I play her stuff in the car every day.Such a sad loss.
I think the only thing 'creepy' about it was how ultimate and real it was. It sounded like she knew she was going to die soon and has completely come to terms with such.
Just the kinda crap that kept her from doing interviews.Such a beautiful and innocent young lady with a talent everyone wanted part of at such a young age.To perservere getting paid minium wage because she was a foriegner and a woman. I can't even imagine what was going through her head back then.The phones ringing off the hook .Her name is all over the radio.And she's waiting for someone to compensate her for what she was going through! I am just thankful, RU-vid is around to let us know artists I've grown to love since grade school, just the beat and sound of vocals(jazz/bossa nova on piano/guitar/sax make us understand our inner thoughts and feelings❤❤❤
Clickbait is of course an understatement in this case. This is deception with full intention. RU-vid should ban or otherwise penalize whoever does this in the same way they don’t allow the use of certain words.
I didnt realize she died again .... I thought she died last time she died but apparently one can die on more than one occasion. Anyway to cut it short she will be missed😢 but her music "our music" will live on❤😊 forever. This narrator, real or ai is the only thing creepy about this video.

Good video and history about our beloved Astrud. But, PLEASE learn how to pronounce Brazilian's names! The voiceover mis-pronunciations are extreme & made me cringe!
Astroody Zhilberto, Bah-EE-ah, Joao has a sound that does not exist in English, but if you claim to admire Bossa Nova, please make an effort not to murder the names of Brazilian singers and composers. Don't be a silly cultural colonialist. Ipah-neh, not Ipaneema. Ugh!
