Unfortunately, Bread was broken shortly after the release of their phenomenal album and its resulting singles. But David eventually "came back" as a solo act. At our school dances, one of the most popular requested songs was "If". The boys would combine their hard earned dollar bills and saved up lunch money quarters to tip the bands to play that slow dance song for a LONG time.
Beautiful sound, mixed feelings as it takes me back to my beautiful marriage, before she went insane and left me without explanation. Then a few years later she was found alone, broke and dead, but she had her freedom. Thanks women's lib.
Amazing song and easy on the eyes too 😉. They sure don’t make music like they did in the 60’s. I sure do cherish these songs and I wish more up and coming would get back to this instead of the absolute trash they pump out today labeled as “music”.....
