Aside from a few different moves, the biggest difference is really the humor. We don't hear it in music anymore or see it in dance as much. A dash of humor is a really great way to make things more universal. I wish there was more of it today. So many of today's performers are so SERIOUS about being SEXY.

Shit! In my birth year these guys already laid the groundwork for breakdancing, literally. Back in the 80s I dissed and lol at old folks who said we young ones done nothing new except the music. Now I know young ones should keep their mouths shut when old folks say ‘we seen and done it before…’ cos they’re not lying.

WoW.. im my mind i had put breakings beginnings in the 70's.. but this would definitely qualify as break dance.. in my book at least. Being wrong has never been more enjoyable! Props! (belated)
Breaking was not invented out of thin air, this sure was influential. But I'd rather say that it's a precursor, because there are no breakbeats. Also, there are not only dance steps that define breaking, but also the Hip Hop and breaking culture - and whether that existed in a comparable form is hard to judge just from the video.
As I breathlessly watch THIS fabulously spectacular video, I am SO emotional with a gigantic, huge smile & a river of tears 😭 pouring down my face, for I KNOW emphatically, that here were genuinely TRUE, REAL, AUTHENTIC, enormously talented, skilled entertainers of yesterday! 💜👍🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😁 Yet realization washed over me b/c I heart wrenchingly KNOW that sadly 😢, we will NOT EVER be Blessed 🙏🏼 to see the likes of such incredible, magnificent dancers as these gentlemen were or OTHERS like them (Sammy Davis Jr, Fred Astaire, the Nicholas Brothers, Bill Robinson, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra or my precious, dearest, beloved 💜 cousin Gene Kelly) EVER again! 💜 They came from & belonged to my dear Mom & Grandma's irreplaceable, deeply loved 💜 (for me), treasured era of old, as well as ALL my OTHER family members I adored!! They are ALL gone NOW & I'm all alone. But.....I DO have my treasured, cherished, precious memories to comfort me! Thats amazing definitely always been part of the culture dancing and entertaining from the streets this is like the early origins of locking and floor work that created alot of the base that would come from the different forms of popping locking and breaking

The ones who do the break dancing now just watched their older relatives doing the dancing when they were small. Now they imitate their older relatives and make the money at it.
That last guy that went out before the group synced up - that guy must have practiced a lot (im sure they all did!) His moves specifically are very smooth and his transitions are almost seamless Amazing to see these dancers before my time. I owe my life to these men.
