I'm 46 and I would love to have Jack Canfield as a Dad ( or at least a close Uncle).

I had a really abusive life as a child and I am still working on me after 37 years! Not easy especially when you ve been through a ton of abuse, but I am in each therapy or tool that might help me move on with my life.

WOW thank you for your transparency and honesty. I too was put in the car to make me go to sleep. My dad prided himself for taking me out of church and paddling me for crying in church....I was 3 months old. He was condescending and verbally abusive to me and mom his whole life, clear up to his death. I thank you Jack for sharing this so we can move on even in our 70s. You're a role model for all of us. I will finish my book. I am enough, I am good enough.

Oh! and yes the self limiting beliefs causing me to become the most pathetic (only child) people pleaser. Being mostly ignored and an embarrassment did nothing for my ego, I had no backbone and could never defend myself. Been working on this my entire life, I've made enormous strides but it's taken my entire life - and alternatively it has shaped me into who I am now. (My mother couldnt give me what she didn't possess herself). I plan on having enough years left to help heal the planet and live out my creativity.

I've literally cried when I've heard you saying that you were put in a car as a baby when you were crying!!! woow! must be such a shock for a baby! sorry for that, However congratulations to you because you are so wise to understand and fix it. Thanks for sharing it with us since many of us have similar traumas making us carry their effects through the whole life.. Yes it is up to us to make a decision to get rid of those effects. Its amazing how inspiring you are Jack Canfield. Its so amazing how i attracted The Secret into my life and i didnt even know it until i watched The Secret. Now i almost watch it everyday and everytime i learn something new...very inspirational. Your story stood out the most. I cry almost everytime watching The Secret. At 50yrs old I thought I would have outgrown it by now. My dad passed in a car accident when I was 3. I found out that my mother didn't tell me for a week. I am told that when I found out, I ran away to the neighbor's for a few days. Born with 3 fingers on my right and 4 on my left hand I think I really needed that father figure. You mentioned that your father didn't stand up for you. I had a similar experience with my mother. I have never been able to stand up for myself. I look fwd to working this all out on Monday. I have all three of those blocks too. My stories for why may be somewhat different but definitely these three blocks. The scariest one to me is that I might someday be able to cry again... I definitely signed up for the webinar. Thank you. It did break my heart to hear how you were treated. My father taught me not to cry the same way. When I was 8 and broke my arm I refused to cry because I thought I would be punished for crying, i.e. hit. I really feel like your webinar will be an answer to prayers

Thanks, Jack! You are always interesting and candid about your own life. When people see how honest you are about that, I believe they get more of a sense of trust. I come from a Mom that loved me and a an Army drill instructor father that not only did not love me but maybe resented or hated me. Now I am engaged in destroying everything I have built by casino gambling (slots). That is why when all my contemporaries are retiring, I am still working a 9to5 at 67 years old. I will tune in and see if I can learn something that can help me.Thanks again!

Amazing how things work... just yesterday I came across a similar exercise and it made me cry my eyes out but once I could turn it around I felt a lot more liberated. I related a lot to your first limiting belief, when I cried as a baby my mom and on occasion my brothers would put me under a cold shower until I went quiet, so I’ve been struggling my whole life to have a voice and stand up for myself. My message was similar. 1 - l cant Express being successful and functional cause l was unworthy of it, 2- laughting and being happy (cause they were not) was shamed in me. 3- others needs etc l was responsible for ( hense 60 years of co-dependency). Otherwise l was selfish. I deleted 4 people this xmas l allowed to abuse, use me. My time now to reprogramme and rare a new me. Ireland

We’re all victims of victims. Legacies of wounding based on not knowing better. We do so much damage to each other by our ignorance and pain. Takes courage to be vulnerable and ask for help even more so for men.

I'm positive you are right. And I'm certain there are things that happened to me that subconsciously hold me back but I don't remember. The best I can do is, I ask myself quite frequently why am I afraid or I have to to reaffirm myself.

I co authored a book. I am still working in Grocery Living to paycheck to paycheck where the customers are mostly Rude and treat me like like crap. This is bringing me down and actually causing me duress at the moment.

Hi Jack, OMG! This so resonates with me! I identified 3 things, but, there might be more from those ages... I usually think that men who approach me want something from me, it is not that they love me, but that they want something from me... IDK, where that came from, except that my mother always spoke bad about men... I also think that I will be alone and rejected, because my mother abandoned me... and like you, I never thought I was enough because although I was an A student, and was accepted into college with 5 scholarships and by the age of 19 I had a career, a house that I bought myself, and a car... she once told me that I was a nothing... So I started a rat race to be everything! But, nothing is the right thing. I really need to clear that out of my subconscious mind and free myself so I can move forward whole, out of my heart and not ego, or pain. Please help me. I don't know if you posted this before 2020, so that the free seminars you posted here are old, or if you meant January 2021.. but, just the same, some idea on how to move forward that goes beyond affirmations. This is too deeply rooted, and affirmations alone won't work. It is keeping me stuck, and sad, and I just don't know how to clear those beliefs. If there is anything you can suggest, I'd appreciate it so much! Thank you for your awesome videos, and your books, and for sharing your wisdom with the world.

At 50 ...Now I realize that from an young age ...I developed a habit to run away from unpleasant or uncomfortable situations ....It would help then ...But now when I look at it ...I. Find myself unable to express my feelings...Or say to others ...That this hurts or this bothers me ...And people take me for granted.... Although I don't know how to correct it .... at least it came to my mind....What I was doing...Now to look for solutions to work it out ... It's so weird...That I was thinking of the song . . *I want to break free* by Queen ... And then this .... The universe sure moves in strange ways ....

Oh goodness my "story" is so similar... unfortunately I'm listening to this in May so missed the procedure... I'll have to watch for the book.

Just started reading 'The Success Principles' and I'm chuckling to myself because on page 12 you say nobody ever complains about gravity, well sorry to prove you wrong on that as I quite often complain about gravity, I guess I still have some work to do on myself!
