I didn't make the Paul Bunyan Show this and Doubt if I will make it Next Year. But I did join in With Dan Friday Evening and got to see you. I am Small Brad and been thinking about Selling Bundles in the spring time. I do not have a Log Splitter, just an Axe. Just have to wait and see what I can do and Handle. I am 72yrs on a fixed income. Retired from the Schenectady Police Dept.I do know what you are saying about the Academy. Took Retirement about 10years ago but still work now and then for a Local School District as an SRO When needed PT. Stay safe my Friend, see you next week at the next Video Ron from the Woodyard in Duanesburg NY.

Always nice to get an update from you, Brad! Watching for a number of years already and your business has moved forward nicely. I totally agree with your decision to get away from stacking for the reasons you have explained. The way we have watched you make changes and adapt I’m sure it will be a positive move for your operation. The key to a successful business is being able to pivot and keep moving forward in efficient steps. You have done a good job of that! Cheers and greetings from 🇨🇦 Harry

Even with the infeed conveyor on my 22-28 I still run more wood through my range road processor. If you've already got logs it's just hands down so much faster and easier to stack it on a live deck and go to town. If I had the work you have I'd be finding me a processor with the proper wedges.

Bins are definitely gonna save you time!!! You have the best location for bins too, full sun and wind!!!

As you were talking I had the thought, would you be able to tow your dump behind the grapple to get even more volume back your yard? I get it would be a pain to maneuver it from time to time but I would think it could be done!

I had a great time at the show. Got to shake your hand and talk a little bit with you about splitters and such. Got a question for you. Will your fellowship be strictly eastonmade products? I ask because there are folks out there that want to help but don't have orange equipment. Lol

So you will be moving your splitter / elevator operation to each 'cone' location? This will be interesting! Will you need a longer elevator?
@FirewoodattheFurnace
@FirewoodattheFurnace 7 дней назад
Yes I will move the conveyor to each cone location. The 24 foot conveyor will work perfectly for what I’m planning

Brad - What are you going to use to enclose and keep the firewood off the ground with the bins you’ve going to use in the future ? Thnx…
@RandallKlay

Will putting wood in bins effect your drying, air flow will definitely be less.
@FirewoodattheFurnace
@FirewoodattheFurnace 7 дней назад
Sun and wind is constant in the yard. Others have tried it and say drying is just as efficient. I guess I’ll find out. Wood will still be elevated off the ground
@BertsCustomCuts
@BertsCustomCuts 7 дней назад
The videos with leaf blowers and TP doesnt mean air isn't flowing thru a pile. it's getting diverted in many directions, and still dries may even be faster.
@crazyman3157
@crazyman3157 6 дней назад
@@BertsCustomCutsI agree Bert. Brad has a similar set up to what you have with Chris’s bins by your location on the farm. A old saying comes to mind “The prof is in the pudding.” Location is key for the bins to work, wide open space for air flow and full sun. 👍🏻👍🏻

I sent you an email with pictures of my bins. Nothing spectacular but I advise against using tie wire. I break down odd size pallets and use the runners as braces at a 45 degree angle. This makes them stiff. Then I gang the vertical pallets together. Makes for a very sturdy bin. Once I run out of room I close the end off and continue to toss onto the top
