As was I...we were born at the best time...we saw the changing of the world from post WWII echos to the modern "computer " age...remember dial tones? or all the cool toys we had as kids? Green Machine, Big Wheels, Micronaughts GI JOE KUNG FU GRIP ?🤔🤔🤔
It seems like any time b4 the internet was offered to the public is a better time..i was born in the 80s..and loved playing out side getting dirty making up games to play..playing with rocks and sticks was fun.
That's hella dope! This was a lil before my time but it hit California in the early 90s and I was a kid trying all these moves with my older cousins! Respects for starting what they they call culture now!!
much respects to RSC, NYC Breakers & Magnificent Force. This footage is amazing! To see how they promoted the movie Beat Street using the "REAL STARS" of the movies dancing live is awesome! This is why I love You Tube, I get to see footage that I was never able to watch as a kid.... Thanks much respects.
I remember watching NY breakers on tv back in early 80s and I instantly fell in love with breakdance and poppin. These guys were pioneers and we all tried hard to emulate them.
Die besten Zeiten damals keine Sorgen keine Probleme nur Break Dance im Kopf jeden Tag am Tanzen trainieren Schallplatten kaufen Musik machen Skateboard & BMX fahren geilsten zeiten überhaupt Rock Steady Crew & New York City Breaker
@ZOBONDO so miss them days, used to have maybe 100 people crowded around you but could concentrate on nothing more but "wasting" the rival crew. like being famous, had strangers stopping me in the street that knew loads about me. cool days......
History lesson: 'Rock Steady' was a form of Jamaican music which came after Ska and before Reggae, 1967 to 1969. Cool Herc and Heavy D came from Jamaica and settled in New York, USA. They were two of the founders of Hip Hop. Biggie Smalls, The Notorious BIG had Jamaican parents.
so heavy d and coolherc formed hip hop? isn't that a rather one dimensional look at things? not to mention its inaccuracy as there were more involved in the formation of the genre than 2 sons of jamaica, lets be more inclusive and truthful when we discuss history please
How lucky were we born in this era? From Disco,to breakin,to Michael Jackson,Prince,Madonna,..To Masters of the Universe to malls, cable tv/MTV being born. The movie Star Wars,Indiana Jones,Rocky,Ternimator,Goonies,ET..TO Tv shows like Dukes of Hazzard Knight Rider ATeam..The birth of the video game craze/arcades/consoles..BMX Freestyle/RAD.. and the lists go on and on and on and on..THIS is why NOTHING today entertains me or impresses me..I mean, can you blame us for being biased towards our decade? lol
80's was the best music ever. Hip hop and freestyle was for the best music ever. The music now a days is garbage. Freestyle music will never die. It's still out there new groups. But they kept it going. RU-vid 2021 freestyle music. Much love and respect Dj Tymes Denver,co
thats the same thing i see people say about the 50's, 60s, 70's and 90's as well . LMAO So there AINT NO BEST DECADE. i think every decade was GREAT and FUN in its own way equally. And who ever experienced that particular decade as a Teenager or a Young ADULT in their 20's had the upmost FUN in that particular decade.
Damn i used to loose shoulder and elbow skin doing all those moves, lol man those were the days. Proud to be part of something that started with us and our generation and still here today and going strong in the Bboy competitions
IMHO
Dance evolved greatly if you watch the break dance in 2020 it's more complex and crazy...Aliens! :-) but 1984 what a beautiful time and that good memories! if I could return to that time!?
it evolved into being not as good if you ask me. add on top of that most people dancing today look lazy and not as together as crews were then. Many had matching outfits and took pride in themselves a bit more. Looked like a real crew a team.
When it came to music and breakdancing I always preferred the east coast over the west coast, it just seemed to me like the east was on top of their game back then!
James L. That may be true ... but too many teen prego shows thats why I said that , lol ! Thanks for the responce ... we need more dj shows , dancing shows ...
the 80's truely was a wonderful, magical time....such a shame that greed & crack cocaine ruined it for many & affected hiphop in such a negative way....on a positive note though....it also made alot of people who they are & what they do today....be it dancers, graffiti artists, rappers etc & its influence went global & spread to all countrys.....hiphop ya don't stop....
