On ball pressure triangulation . A dribble pickup results in a bellyup and an arms up mirror the ball deflection . They also seal sideline . Chin series discourages the seal and lifts their weakside help.

I love defense! Most guards get rattled by an aggressive blitz, even as you have shown at the D1 level. I wonder why that is, but whatever the defense principles are- Having the right personnel will always make the difference. Not every team is capable of playing this way. But when you can... sheesh this is GOLD. great video!

If you have enough time of course, can you make a breakdown video on how Mcneese state is having success under will wade? They’re 18-2 having won 13 straight games.

Houston is solid but definitely can improve. Defense is all about ball pressure and player positioning. 1:31 #55 catches and places the ball over his head. This is one of the weakest positions an offensive player can be in. His body is in an unathletic position/off-balanced position with the ball over his head. Therefore, #13 on Houston needs to attack this while using the sideline and baseline as extra defenders. On the weakside of the court, #1 needs to be in "pistol position" w/ his back to the baseline. See ball and man. That reversal pass should be a steal! 1:33 #23 is all the way over on the left block providing weakside help. Why? Once the ball is reversed he has to cover a long distance on the closeout. He should split the lane, back to the baseline and in "pistol position". Bottom line...#55 should have never been allowed to make that effortless reversal pass to begin with or it should have been stolen by #1. The lack of ball pressure and poor player positioning leads to an wide open catch and shoot three-point attempt. The offensive player simply missed a shot. A shot that he shouldn't have got in the first place...

Wow, how are high hands not a fundamental principle taught on every team...
