For those wondering about the MV, There are so many art references from renaissance to 800's . "The garden of earthly delights" painted by Hieronymus Bosch, i recommend you guys to search this cause most of the scenes could be seen there, like the birds, flower where joy is standing, red velvet inside a monster/demon with all of them in the table, seulgi sitting on a chair(she's an owl), berries, irene on a boat with monsters/demon skating around her and a lot more. Then, "Ophelia" by John Everett Millais, (joy in the water with flower at the beginning) "Nymphs Finding the head of Orpheus" by John William Waterhouse (the beginning where wendy and yeri are sitting on a rock and looking down at joy in the water. " Woman with a parasol " Claude Monet (Irene with umbrella and Seulgi, in flower fields) not sure in "girls picking flowers in an orchard" leopold franz kowalsky "them picking flowerd" and irene's part at "the swing" by Jean Fragonard, rococo era. Meanwhile in their photos/album, we can see some works from surrealism and edgar degas (ballerinas) and more impressionism art movement. So far, those are the artworks that i could recognize. The funny part in the lyrics is "Pride and prejudice" book of Jane Austen, cause that's like one of the book u should atleast know when frequenting an art school and explains the 'regency/georgian/victorian era' feels in the MV. so yeah, this comeback is such a big bang to me i just cried.

This song is a masterpiece! Have listened non-stop since its release and the chorus still stucks in my head! The magical power of RV!

This music video was said to be planned and produced with the idea of incorporating opera/play as well as to pay homage to great artists of the past. most scenes have a reference and those references are paintings ! (The birds are actually creatures from a painting they used as a reference ^^)

This Feel My Rhythm got a lot of hint： 1. Joy lying on water (Ophelia - John Everett Milley) 2. Irene swing ("The Swing" - Fragonard) 3. Irene with umbrella with Seulgi ("The Woman Holding the Umbrella" - Monet) 4. Yeri Hair Style with strawberry ("Four Seasons" - Mucha) 5. At the End of the MV is the fountain frome from the painting of Hieronymus Bosch , it can be found in The Garden of Earthly Delights 6. Seulgi standing on the ladder (paul dominique - lady looking behind the wall) 7. Wendy & Yeri looking at Joy in the water (paul dominique - Nymphs Finding the Head of Orpheus) Hieronymus Bosch painting is all related to this Feel My Rhythm MV including the RedVelvet all sitting inside of room with a table (actually is a monster)(Climbing the Ladder: On Hieronymus Bosch's Vision of Hell) This is a Triptych - a single narrative artwork split into 3 panels. the castle at the end of the MV is in the first panel.

The fact that red velvet performances is the only group that I've seen kyungsoo on camera smiling and clapping for makes me insanely happy and the girls killed this genre fusion as usual ❤️💛💙💚💜

Theres not many groups or artists in general that could pull off this style like Red Velvet can, granted their probably the best group of female vocalists in K-Pop (as well as Mamamoo I should mention) & their vocals have a lot to do with how much I like the song right now but when I think of Red Velvet this is the type of song I would think to associate with them.

The music videos reminds me a lot of Swan Lake story. Joy as Odette, a princess who has been transformed into a white swan by an evil sorcerer. Her human form is trapped because of the curse. Seulgi as Odile, the sorcerer’s daughter. She is the villain of the story that manipulate the Prince to marry her instead of Odette. She can transform into a crow too. Irene represents moon / midnight. The time when Odette can transform into her human form. Talking about details, the dancer’s outfit looks like shining stars too. Wendy represents the lake/water, the place where the swan lives. Yeri i’m not really sure but i think she represents the forest fairy because of the berries, plants, and animals that dancing around her or maybe she represents the true love that can break the swan princess curse.

I think it's also important to remember that ReVe is actually meant to allude to the french word "rêver" which means dream. So a lot of the ReVe festival actually is meant to feel like a dream, an explosion of imagination. But a comment already mentioned the MV is based on Bosch's painting. And that has a lot of philosophical meaning attached to it that I think is better explored on your own so you can develop your opinions about it

I can see a lot of european classical art references: Garden of Delights, Ophelia, Van Gogh, Monet, Surrealism, Grand Palais, etc. This is very delicate and beautiful, just as the paintings they portraying here. Absolutely stunning ❤️

The rest of the bsides are literally what u wanted to hear of them, i feel like this album really focused on their vocals when the past albums showcased different colors of music, but this one for me i find it their most "focused on the vocals" among their albums, and im really really glad that they did that. You're gonna like the album and especially my favorite one it called in my dreams, its truly a masterpiece

the sudden transitions, pots and pans type of beat in the verses, the classical “air on the g string” sample rlly matches and ties the whole song together. The chorus with the classical sample in the background makes it sound so euphoric and magical. another banger wow and the whole concept and this mv is definitely one of SM’s best!! idk why but feel my rhythm is like a happy version of psycho 💀

I love them so much 😭 Red velvet's concepts are just everything! A lot of them are weird but fun lol They are the 3rd generation girl group that experiments the most in my opinion and of course their choreos are of my favorites(along with twice) and well, about the vocals.. ANGELIC 💕

Sm previously added that each member had a signature animal that big monster thing who's Irene is offering the strawberries, that's actually the Cat, you can see more clearly in that fast scene near the end, previously Irene animal was changed to a bunny, but on their debut it was a cat. Seulgi is an owl, on queendom an owl sits besides her desk, her animal first was a unicorn, then a polar bear, then a black bear. Yeri seems to be a bird, she's shown surrounded by birds while she's in cracked egg, on queendom she got her magical wand delivered by little birds, her animal was a turtle before. Joy and wendy didn't had any animal references on queendom, and wendy don't has any here, but we can see that joy is a hummingbird, joy was first a canary, then a yellow little chicken. Wendy was a squirrel.

The thing that left me speechless, was that the Bach piece never stopped throughout the song. It was under, over and in each transition. I’ve never heard a modern piece faithfully play the classical piece throughout the whole song. Wow.
