Come along as we take our plane for the first cross-country trip since the engine overhaul. After 8 months of being grounded we are finally back in the air!
We got lucky with great weather and a good group of pilots flying into Ponca City for their first Saturday of the month breakfast fly-in.

Nice video. You guys have inspired me a lot. Family and I have done a few nice breakfast runs in So Cal area. 2 months ago we bought a C150J. Owning a plane is awesome.

@CaptScafe That's what I am afraid of. I paid 30k for it. Needed a transponder and IFR capability, so invested 16k for the avionics and estimated another 7k for other stuff. It's been in the shop for 8 weeks, and so I'm getting anxious to finally fly it.

Is that a fresh paint job? I don't remember it being so shinny! Nice!

It was last painted in 2009 so it's not exactly "fresh" but I do my best to keep it clean. It was also down for 8 months waiting for an engine so I had plenty of time to keep it polished.

Hello neighbor. I fly out of DJ Perry. Enjoy your videos, but they would be even more interesting if you include activities at your destinations and a little less XC cockpit pics. Show us the other planes and interesting people at PNC. How about the food? Destination videos will help to encourage me and others to want to go there too. Keep up the good work.
