My love letter to Singapore and Singaporeans, with a special segment on Lee kuan Yew, and his amazing success in transforming Singapore into an Asian powerhouse.
Tks v mch for yr sharing. Great content😊Much appreciate you still remember our National Day though you are away fr the sunny island@ the little red dot nicknamed by our giant neighbour😂😂
Many of us know, the late President Suharto and LKY were able to sit down, four eyes meet, and frank conversation of managing diplomatic relationship. And even the days of President Suharto downfall, LKY had no fear to even pay him personal visit with hot and heavy media coverage. He even sat down few minutes President Suharto bed side at the final hours.
Suharto, Lee Kuan Yew, and Matahir Mohammed were certainly powerful stabilisers in the region. I firmly believe Suharto's downfall began with the death of his wife. He couldn't reign in the kids. Thanks for the reply.
I don't think I was attempting to tell the story of Singapore, whether Raffles, Winsemius, or Lee Kuan Yew. My focus was specifically on the era of major growth in the 80s and 90s. Thanks for the comment.
@@philipnaggs the refineries airline entreport exactly copying holland. I dont think without winsemius ideas and planning, lky would had thot of these ventures
No doubt Albert winsemuis helped develop Singapore but it is with the hind sight of Lee Kwan yew who invited and welcomed this talent to get involved in Sing apore’s development.
@@maulek4731" In 1960, a year after Singapore gained internal self-government, Winsemius was asked by the United Nations to visit Singapore as part of the United Nations Development Programme team. " lky didnt specified him, he was chosen by UNDP. He stayed until 80s and recommended financial s and electronics to be singapore majors. What would singapore be without him?
