Who should we Head Hunt next? Tell us who we should challenge and what we should do. We want more!
What an amazing weekend! I would first like to thank my friends and team that showed up to help support me. I literally would not have been able to pull this off without your help. I would also like to Congratulate Nick Bare on crushing his Marathon. At the end of the day we both just want to compete and we both gave everything we had.
This was one of the hardest races I have ever done in my life! 26.2 pounding pavement miles in the high desert of Utah. Freezing conditions and some epic views.

With a 1000m drop in altitude across the race some free wheeling must have been nice on the legs?
@heikkisanelma6625
@heikkisanelma6625 3 года назад
@@nickcharles4734 theres no freewheeling in running. runnin in decends recruit more motorunits and have more impact on the muscosceletal system than on level or uphill. I'd argue the recovery is longer after this kind of race rather than flat race. Though such a big vertical differences on the route means they are not applicaple to official records.like no world records are applicaple on this course..

Well done Hunter! I love the mentality to just attack any obstacle in front of you with everything you have and how you handle and overcome adversity. Can you do a video on how to become faster mechanically? You don't look like you're trying all that hard and still hitting 6:30 miles!!! And I'm loving Haos Pro btw. The longer runs practicing negative splits are really increasing my aerobic fitness. Having only done CF for the last 3-4 years I never incorperated that into my training. Keep leading the pack #bulkpony

@Toliv3r
@Toliv3r 3 года назад
Check your facts... Bare signed up for this race first and backed out. Just because it is negative downhill doesn’t mean there wasn’t any uphill. Running downhill is super hard on your quads. This course is at a high elevation which makes it harder to run. It was cold and icy at the start. But I think you are on to something. Having your own course that you created for yourself with a dedicated team in fantastic weather in Texas is definitely a harder course than in the mountains of Utah. Looking forward to seeing you at the race next year. Have a good day.
@joshchace
@joshchace 3 года назад
@@Toliv3r There was net -1500 feet of elevation please don’t use the argument that there was “some uphill to“ the elevation for this event was 4000 feet that has almost no impact on your cardio capacity. That impact doesn’t begin until above 6500 feet above sea level. It was 30° at the start. That’s not that cold. It’s actually ideal to run in cooler temperatures than in warmer. Stop making excuses for him. If this was a flat course he wouldn’t have beaten three hours

@Toliv3r 3 года назад
@@joshchace If it is so easy than why doesn't everyone else just do it then? He showed up for the race and the other guy didn't plain and simple. He also didn't pick the course first so you can't hold that against him. Saying that he couldn't break three hours is so idiotic. Do you realize his aerobic capacity? With proper training he could easily run sub 2:40 and most likely sub 2:35.
