The new editing style really paid off :D. Admittedly, I shied away from this album until today, thinking it would just be a rehash of earlier efforts, and would lack the nu spirit which seemed to fade out in general media from around 2012 onwards. It's not too bad however. The cover reminds me of Halo, for which Breaking Benjamin made a soundtrack song. Review suggestions: Edgewater - South Of Sideways and Our Lady Peace - Gravity.
Glad you enjoyed it 😁 And yeah DBD grew on me. Btw do you like Starset? They were a good hard rock band with electronic elements during that dry spell for music in the 2010s. And I LOVE OLP!! I might do Spiritual Machines first :)
@@ThierryRocksTV The name sounds vaguely familiar (unless I'm thinking of Starsailor XD)- I'll check them out. It would be good timing for Gravity since that's essential summer listening, with tracks like Sorry and A Story About A Girl, although Spiritual Machines has one of my top tracks... "But everything's gone bla-ack, you're looking for that sun, you're looking for that li-ight" :D.
@@PhilMcCool Sorry for my delay. And Starsailor are a soft rock Britpop type band right? I am planning on reviewing some of those types of albums :) And I love Everyone's a Junkie its a hidden gem!
@ThierryRocksTV No problem. Spiritual Machines is growing on me, it's just a matter of not being distracted by the weird interludes. Yeah, Starsailor were successful in the post-Britpop movement. It's strange how American post-Britpop (Paloalto, Cave) felt tied in with the nu adjacent bands, while the actual British bands weren't. Maybe it's due to the UK having a very limited nu metal scene.
@@PhilMcCool Honestly I enjoy those weird interludes especially the ones about the state of the year 2029 (which is so damn soon). Helps that I can enjoy weird rock bands like Ween. And that's true, Fade Out/In has a heavy vibe to it and appeared on the Daredevil album. I plan to review their 2000 debut album and bands like Athlete, Embrace and Keane next.
I think that BB has one of the most consistent discographies. There isn't any album that I consider bad or weak. Anyways, I like you new editing style. It's definitely a nice change of pace.
