They’re actually going to release a studio cover with starset of one of Dustin Bate’s older projects, Downplay. The song should release July 29th, called Waiting on the Sky to Change
Ben needs to ease up on the snacks or get a bigger shirt.. I don't care who you are, nobody needs to see your belly hanging out of the bottom of your t shirt
Imo it's one of the more demanding BB songs. Emotionally intense and vocally challenging, it's only natural to be a bit nervous. I can't handle singing this song without getting shakey, although I can hit the notes
One of the best recordings of Dustin and Breaking Benjamin live together! I love that they're touring together again, this is amazing!! So hyped for Waiting on the sky to change too! - May have to audio record this so I can have it in my playlist... shhhh! **OH MY GOD DUSTINS SCREEM WORKS SO WELL FOR BREATH WTF!!!**
Bro, im from the same city as starset. When BB got back together and released Dark Before Dawn, they came to columbus for one of their first shows. Bought tickets for $25, two weeks later 10 Years AND Starset joined the lineup. Starset only had their first album out so they opened. It was insane.
@@Guillermo_VB I think it was the first on the tour. But Starset did open for BB years ago, and I think he did a song with Ben, and Ben also sang My Demons with Dustin as well
Thank you so much for posting these! I was there, but had to leave during Seether's performance for unexpected reasons!! I really wanted to see the concert and now I can see what I missed! Thank you so much :) +
Would love to see Breaking Benjamin and starset live someday!! The song waiting on the sky to change is so amazing! Hope BB and Starset will consider doing a album together in the future? Cuz they sing great together.
@@TheSlyWeeb Yeah, there is that. So many people don't even realize how old that song is now. I just always liked the more raw iteration of Dustin's voice in Downplay. Starset is its own thing, and more popular than Downplay ever was, but it doesn't have the level of creativity and fun Downplay does. Each album had its own distinct sound. I kind of miss that.
@@TheSlyWeeb yeah. Feel free to elaborate. I like hearing differing perspectives. Though it's kind of suspect that they removed "Waiting on the Sky to Change" from Beyond the Machine's tracklist and republished the album on every streaming platform.
O ENCONTRO DOS MILENIOS, cara e gratificante demais ver minhas duas bandas favoritas de todos os tempos se juntando pra cantar uma musica absurda de perfeita dessa
I think Dustin was trying to sing it off screen by the looks of it, but the mixer wasn't working or something (I don't know much about live performances), either way his mic didn't seem to being picked up... It felt slightly awkward (only because I'm so used to the quick transition from chorus to verse) but the Band handled it pretty perfectly imo... Kind of a shame though, apart from that this is one of the best recordings we have of Dustin and Breaking Benjamin until the new single comes out!
2:52 I see nothing in your eyes And the more I see the less I like Is it over yet? In my head I know nothing of your kind And I won't reveal your evil mind Is it over yet? I can't win So sacrifice yourself and let me have what's left I know that I can find the fire in your eyes I'm going all the way, get away, please You take the breath right out of me You left a hole where my heart should be You got to fight just to make it through 'Cause I will be the death of you This will be all over soon (this will be all over soon) Pour the salt into the open wound Is it over yet? Let me in So sacrifice yourself and let me have what's left I know that I can find the fire in your eyes I'm going all the way, get away, please You take the breath right out of me You left a hole where my heart should be You got to fight just to make it through 'Cause I will be the death of you I'm waiting I'm praying Realize, start hating You take the breath right out of me You left a hole where my heart should be You got to fight just to make it through 'Cause I will be the death of you
For the starset fans here. I wont say im a massive fan, I dig a few of their songs (My Demons being) so I watching this from an unbiased standpoint. 1. Holy shit the dude can sing, there's no doubt of that. But that vocal fry? that dropped my jaw. I don't think i've heard a song in which Dustin does frys/screams. Please correct me if im wrong. 2. Second he seems nervous af, and really soft spoken. Once again, not a bad thing but im hoping fans can help me learn if that is just the man himself or if its because hes about to perform another artists song in their presence. Amazing performance overall. One of my favorite Breaking Benjamin songs as well.
Starset is more of rock band (with a shit ton of other elements to their music) that being said Divisions is definitely heavier then Transmissions or Vessels and he does a fair bit more screaming/frys in that and i don't know about their new album Horizons because i haven't had a chance to listen to it i did however grab a vinyl of Horizons and plan on listening to it when I have time.
Frequency, Devolution, Manifest, Bringing It Down, those are some of the tracks I can think of off the top of my head if you want more of his screams. It's good shit.
I mean every performance as a vocalist is a difficult one, it’s always a new experience bc that’s how performing is, also he screams in a bunch of songs, Manifest, The Breach, Devolution especially, it’s disgusting, there’s a bunch of well placed fry’s if you listen closely. Starset fan here, this was an excellent performance.
@@Rainaerys He's talking about Dustin Bates who is the lead singer from Starset who was guest vocals on this one. This song is clearly out of his range, but he is a great singer.
Recorded Starset has very good sound and puts out some real bangers but since the bands start the dudes been knocked for his live performances. Which as much as I do really really like the music they put out I still can't get behind him live 😂
