From what I've read he comes up with all the music from all the instruments. Just like Billy Corgan used to do and Kurt Cobain used to do. Extremely talented! The bassist is on another planet LOL
Outside of the drums he did until the newest lineup. That’s one of the reasons he was so mad and fired these two for releasing that version of blow me away without his consent.. like wrote all the music, did all the branding, vocals/backing vocals and they thought they could take the credit for the project😂
@@justinwilder3514 that’s not true at all, every single last one of them them from the first lineup with Jeremy Hummel to the 2nd with Chad all of them where extremely talented, Mark would help him with some of the songs and the lyrics, Aaron Fink an extremely talented guitarist would also make add in his unique style of playing into the songs even Mark would help with some like with the intro of I will not bow the intro has tapping with the lead guitar that Mark came up with, Chad was another extremely talented drummer who instantly left his mark on the songs, their falling out was due to the fact that Mark and Aaron gave the green light to the “shallow bay” album which would include some of the projects that Ben didn’t want to release either yet or at all and since they didn’t even ask for his permission he sued them and not only kicked them off the band in an email no less but ensued a legal battle to obtain all the rights to the name and the band which as we see right now he eventually got, Chad later left because of creative differences as you can see even though they still make really great music and still have a similar feel they did kinda change
@@somregularguy talented and creative are different. They were very talented I agree, they did have big influences you can see that from the slight changes in sounds from the first two to the second two to the latest two. But yes the bulk of the music was in fact ben. He carried a lot of the load until recently. Aaron had almost the same amount of influence pre-joining as mark did in writing. Im just stating what I’ve read and heard. They weren’t bums and sat around and just played what they were told but they weren’t a major artery of the band, as you can see as the music is a lot more technical. The vocals are 100x better since he has help, the drums didn’t really get as big an upgrade .. I feel Chad was the best of the 3 ..
@@justinwilder3514 You can't mistake Chad's signature sound. I liked hummel's contribution, but Szeliga's splash, disjoined snare and ride - bell work on Phobia and Dear Agony are awesome. I'm warming up to Shaun Foist and the new line up but man do i miss Aaron, Mark and Chad. Aaron's harmonics were great.
Was watching these guys from day one as “Strangers with candy.” From my small town in PA. Followed them in the bar scene before they went on tour with Godsmack. Much love throughout their band breaking up. Still have their EP
They definitely use it on the studio recordings, especially now. You can tell he is a bit more pitchy live. They are still quite awesome though (: most bands use Auto Tune (whether they say it or not) to clean up pitch quickly rather than doing 10+ takes on every single bit to save on studio time
The original comment is from an alternate reality lololol Breaking Benjamin is nothing BUT autotune. Completely obvious on their past three albums. Even the guitars sound processed.
Unfortunately, that statement is no longer true. Back then, Ben used to make it known he was against all of that stuff and was into, “REAL, Live music”.
2000s was marked by Nu Metal then followed by Post-Grunge/Alternative Metal from 2003-2004 on then completely dropped off in 2012-2013-14; its like what happened to rock scene it just completely dropped off in radio/press, particularly in North America in a huge way. I wondered if that was intentional or not; either way its crazy to think what happened to cause that change from before.
You will get there one day, mi amigo! Ive been lucky enough to meet him one time in 2018, and I have tickets to meet him on May 10th, 2022, this year.. To meet him, it cost me $320. Save your money, and you will get your chance too! Rock on! 🤘❤
Back when BB was in their prime. The new members can be nothing like the perfect 4 peice band they were. Plus Ben's vocals aren't the same anymore unfortunately
Mark and Aaron (Fink, not Bruch) were the ones who went behind Ben's back, and Chad left because of creative differences so I have to agree about the liking the new line up better. They seem like better people and I really like the albums they have come out with since BB came back.
