100% fact! I love linkin park but i didnt tat them on my body. I have lyrics from 3 songs on me from bb. Theyre the best band very few rockers know. Im always mad when i meet fellow rock/metal fans and they have no idea who the hell bb is. Im like im gonna educate u right now. Lmao
@@meghanschuler4739 Linkin Park really has no bad music either to be honest, I will 100 percent get them tatted. Only stuff i didnt care for was the most recent album, but if you go through linkin parks albums and listen to every single song its very rare to find a bad one
@@ArthurMorganFan123 i love lp too, but they do have some songs I just wasn't a fan of. I loved the new album though. Which surprised me cause I'm a hard rocker girl, but I enjoyed it.
@@SecretMcEasterEgg I saw that today! Could I ask you your opinion on the blue stuff in those videos? I have a feeling he's telling us something specific but I wanna ask you if you know what I'm thinking of first lol. :)
Fun fact: Ben's bandmates wrote nearly all the songs and music to this album without him while he was on break/recovery. They brought it it all to him nearly done. He was glad to have the break and loved what they made. After this trilogy, I think it would be cool if you went alllllll the way back and just worked the whole discography chronologically. I've always wanted to someone to do that with my favorite bands and this is my #1
@@Roguenjosh oh that’s a hard one. So many to choose from. New song by them is Self Destructor and it’s a banger. My favorite songs by them is either Send The Pain Below or The Clincher or Vitamin R from their older stuff is amazing too!
Breaking Benjamin have another song that's arguably heavier than this. It's called Blood. Interesting chord progression, good use of the scream/growl, slap bass, etc. The works, LISTEN TO IT!
Dude, as a musician and someone who's a diehard BB fan, it's really satisfying to see another musician react to them. They're a really popular band for reaction channels, but I don't think any of them quite "get" what makes them so good the way you were instantly able to identify as a musician. It's definitely the writing and the fact that Ben was the primary writer. The fact that he reformed the band with entirely new players in 2015 and it still kept their distinct sound tells you everything. Ben is IMO the best hard rock songwriter of the 00s, at least for this particular style of music, and his voice is so unique and powerful. Going forward, definitely keep an ear out for their vocal harmonies too- they're insanely good and the vocals have such a full sound. The new lineup now has Keith Wallen and Aaron Bruch who are each insanely talented singers in their own right, so you get full-on three part harmonies, overlapping screams, etc. at the live show. They're so fucking good. Looking forward to seeing you go down the BB rabbit hole. Subbed!
They have the "Christian" label very loosely. They are Christians and therefore have a lot of Christian themes in their music, but nothing is ever direct and everything is left super open to be interpreted however the listener takes it. It's very intentional... they don't want to pigeonhole their music or their audience. That being said, I'm not religious and they are my second favorite rock band after BB. I recommend starting with Breath Into Me...it's the song that put them on the map.
Breaking Benjamin is my all time favorite band. Got a tattoo of em. I would recommend a song, but there's so many to pick from. Can't wait to see more. Looked at your channel and I'm impressed with how professional your channel, video, audio, and everything is for how young the channel is. Keep up the work man, new sub. Can't wait to see whats next!
Go down the rabbit hole! Been a fan for a while but got back into them hardcore when my hometown boy Keith joined. You can't go wrong with anything they have done. Dark of You and Far Away are the ones I've got stuck on repeat right now. Fun fact: When coming up for the video concept - someone asked Ben what the worst pain in life would be and he said "losing a child." Hence the video. Too true - I would sell my soul too in order to know my kid was safe and got justice for them.
@@Roguenjosh Definitely do it! But not just singles because you'll miss a ton of great but lesser-known songs. But the singles are a good starting spot. You'll hear the transition of Ben through the albums, from becoming open about his debilitating phobias, questioning the world and his place in it, and becoming more spiritual. A lot of the songs play off each other and you'll find connections between them. I've found lists that people have made that were a transitional timeline of connected songs...I'll see if I can find it. A couple other bands you should check out are Halestorm (their album Into the Wild Life is INCREDIBLE but also check out earlier stuff like Familiar Taste of Poison and I Miss the Misery) and The Hu (check out Song of Women featuring Lzzy of Halestorm and Wolf Totem). The Hu is a Mongolian Overtone rock band. Halestorm is just complete BADASSERY!
Great reaction, mate. The video is so good. Honestly, I'm not a father yet, but I am a young preschool teacher, and let me tell you, if somebody ever did anything like that to any of the children I work with, they'd not only have to hide from the parents, they'd have to hide from me as well. Once you have special bonds with children, whether it be parental or educational, you'd do anything to protect them.
Dude I can't believe you're just now discovering BB...they're incredible! You MUST check out Breathe, I Will Not Bow, Crawl, Never Again, Ashes of Eden (for a slow, ethereal great vocal)
I didnt even know this came out in 2018!!! I've been listening to breaking benjamin since around 2007ish and when i listened to this i thought it was an old song. So I get it when u say going back to roots. Any who. Try " so cold" that was the first song I liked from them.
Breaking Benjamin is pretty consistent with the quality of their music. They are my personal favorite band. The outside media paints them as samey and downplays their impact in the rock arena. Bands like Icon For Hire, who are a completely different genre, cite Breaking Benjamin as an influence. If you want a more mellow alternative band sound wise, but just as heavy lyrically, check out some Blue October if you haven’t.
the first time i heard this song i had dragonball playing on my second monitor and i was playing a game on my first. when it came on the radio it perfectly matched trunks super saiyan rage power up
Esta es mi banda favorita de tantas que escucho, fue mi primer banda que escucho de metal junto con Linkin para, ambas bandas tienen canciones muy buenas🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
You want recommendations? They literally don't have a bad song. :') This is my new fave though. It used to be Evil Angel, but this and the entire new album has taken over.
You: I completely missed them! I just never heard of a BB song. Me: No way, there's no way. I'm sure you must've heard Di-- You: So I just listened to Diary Of Jane, and if I had heard that back in the day-- Me: Oh my goodness (surprise Pikachu face) ... (pauses video to find the other videoes to watch them in order)
They have 2 more songs that go with this one that tell you the rest of the story!!! The songs & videos are just as good as this one! Pls do a reaction to those too!!!!!!! :)
If you listen to their first album saturate 2002 and then listen to their 2018 ember you would think it’s a different band I have been a fan for years I think they have changed their sound they are much heavier now.
I wouldn't call these guys nu metal there more along the lines of Hard rock and metal like three days grace, five finger death punch, shinedown. They all came out around the same time and there all more mainstream bands. breaking benjamin also toured with all them guys. BUT these guys stood out the most there such a solid consistent band.
For the scream, give the credit to the new bassist aaron bruch! The singer benjamin burnley change all the bands members and now him, aaron and the guitarist keith wallen are singing!
Another fantastic video buddy =D Maybe its time to explore some punk, would highly recommend "Dead Kennedys - Riot" Great song given todays world happenings, for your own listening pleasure check out Bluebottle Kiss a surfy rock sydney band from the 90s - check out the EPs "Double Yellow Tarred" and "Higher up the Firetrails" and first album "Fear of Girls" Much stronger than their later work.
Although maybe not vid worthy definitely check out the fan made video with the song "Blow Me Away" which was featured on Halo 2, truly epic BB: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OrOB9vLzksc.html
