KEN COLE: Thank you so much for the update. It’s heartbreaking that the writers have to go through this, hopefully they will be able to make a fair deal soon. I mean all kind of had a feeling this was going to happen so we were all prepared for it, but it’s still hard to hear 👂. I wish there was someway that we can let the writers know that we are on their side and aren’t just saying that we are because we only want them to go back into production really soon.

Deadline reports that Hillary Swank's series "Alaska Daily" has been cancelled after one season. This could mean that JULIE PIERCE will be coming to Cobra Kai.

I am glad they shut down instead of trying to film without the writers. The writers are the most important component of the production. They have the vision and can change or make edits/rewrites as they go along. Without them, we would not get the best show. I am willing to wait a few months if need be. I want season 6 to be the best.

I want shows with good writing and I hate reality TV! I hope that a fair deal is reached--but it seems the studios want to drag the process. If this goes 6 months to 1 year before a deal is reached--what is the fall back plan for the writers? actors? and directors? Already Netflix has stocked up on dramas from other countries etc. Also the CK writers may be constantly thinking about the plot and scripts but if there is a long shut down...then it could take even longer to boot up again--think about just getting the stunt coordinators etc back on board. The actors will be older etc... and the plot may have to be changed... to deal with that

I wasn’t honestly expecting S6 to come out anytime soon anyway. Seasons 3-5 came out in quite a short space of time so I got the impression they would be taking their time a bit more with this one, especially because now we know it’ll be the last one. Even with no strike, I’d be stunned if we got the season this year. I’ll still be there when they eventually get it finished and released!

KenCast was always my favorite RU-vid channel but this channel has been one step ahead, you have improved a lot in the last few months. Which was difficult. For me Ken Cole, you are the number 1 reference in Cobra Kai and Karate Kid. Lets hope writers's brains will think something less disappointing. The previous season was a failure in terms of scenario (example#1: two top senseis hardly defeat Silver's blond sensei, but Johnny in the last episode defeated almost all of them, example#2: Larusso suffered a crushing defeat by Silver, but in the last episode defeated him with three hits just because he was calm). And all of these just because netflix's sale needs. If you think the process - route writers gave to the series, it would be better if the next season is the last. It is at least sad to watch all these Karate Kid movies taking that disappointing route, just because of money.
