Terry twisted daniels mind, so some of how poorly Daniel did in the 1985 tournament i dont think is 100% Barnes doing, although it does seem like Barnes would have won anyway. Bobby... very under rated. I agree, he may have been the best at the time in the 80s, but mike barnes seems to have the thrown then. In current times, Chozen i think is the best because it doesn't seem like he ever stopped practising martial arts. Johnny stopped for years, and mike focused on the furniture store. I love johnny... he seems to stalement a lot with daniel... neither of them dominate the other it seems these days. For taking punishment... johnny i think is the toughest. The beating he took in season 5 finale withbthose sensais... then turned it around abd took out i think 5 of them. They are all good enough to land hits on each other. They all have thier strengths and weakness. What am awesome show!!
It seems to me that between johnny, mike barnes and chozen... chozen never stopped practising msrtial arts. Theybare all good enough to land hits on each other as we've seen..... but, johnny stopped practising fir years. Mike turned his attention to the furniture store. I don't think.chozen ever stopped. I think in current times, he win over Johnny and Barnes. It seems silver is the best of them all and Chozen had silver beat, if it werent for being distracted
That is a very interesting theory that makes some sense. I don't believe that Mike Barnes had any contact nor plans with Kim Da-Eun. However, the idea of her and Kreese manipulating the whole situation to eliminate Silver makes a lot of sense. I like the idea of Kreese and her working together a lot. When you stop and think about it, with Silver, everything was about money and status. But, with Kreese and Kim, they are all about the martial arts and money was never the point. Though their style and training methods are different than Miagi Do and Eagle Fang, there is an odd parallel.
How does Silver know what Barne spooks like after like 20 years if he hadn’t seen Barnes in years how would he know what he looks like unless he was maybe spying on Daniel sneak into Barnes furniture store
Actually that laugh Mr miyagi did at the thought of fighting Sato is the same snicker Mr miyagi did when Daniel asked to catch the fly in karate kid 1 so Mr miyagi could’ve been a little cocky in the moment that or Sato wasn’t the best fighter when Mr miyagi was around in Okinawa and became better later
Given Miyagi asked and Sato confirmed, "Is this the same wood we found on the beach together?", I believe the scene doesn't represent Sato being bad at karate. The wood represents the friendship from long ago, Sato is attempting to break it but is unable to. Sometimes the ability is in the purpose, not the ability. Hence, Miyagi was able to break the wood to free Sato, his friend he still had affection for.
Ive been following Reed for quite a few years and i don't care how much people try to talk down about Reed and the way he chases, it makes his videos so exciting and more entertaining. He is one of the great storm chasers and always will be. Rip Joel this world lost a wonderful person
I didn't think they were 70. I thought they were like early '50s. Chris is 30 ish. In the original karate kid. And it's only like a year time frame between all three movies right. So at most he's maybe 32. And this is only 20 years in the future so he's somewhere in his '50s. Or at least that's what I thought
In my opinion Cobra Kai handled the legacy perfectly, for the latest Ghostbusters they did well as well, but for Star Wars & Terminator, they weren't done right. When it comes to Star Wars the Skywalker saga ended perfectly in Episode 6, but for Terminator, T2 ended perfectly especially with Connor's story line. Cobra Kai is the most perfect legacy sequel in my opinion, not only they respected the source material & characters, but they offered a lot more character backstories & secrets that we never got to see in the original movies especially with Johnny Lawrence & John Kreese, even other characters had backstories as well.
No way we can bring Terry Silver back. I hate him so much. He stinks he’s obnoxious and he’s the worst. He should enjoy rotting in his cell! His dojo is wiped out!
I had initially figured Miyagi saying even Daniel could block Sato's punch was about that specific punch and how telegraphed it was. Though, Sato being a capable teacher, but bad at the actual application of Karate is an interesting idea.
Could Hawk of beaten Miguel in the season 1 all valley? Because Hawk got a quick point on Robby and could of won if he didn't kick Robby in the back compared to a easy point Robby got on Miguel while having a injury (even if it weren't as bad compared to daniels) were as Miguel gets his first point with a kick on his injury and then a punch and he wouldn't of gone for that move if he wasn't injured and then Miguel targets the injury again making Robby defenseless again causing Miguel to get another point Miguel then tries to target the injury again after that and when he fails he just walks into Robbys attack with no defense whatsoever then he takes advantage of the injury and Robby trying to be nice and hurts him even more making his 3rd point even more unfair and then Miguel gets a hit on a Robby with 1 arm injured and the other arm hold it so Hawk got a fair point where as Miguel got all of his points unfairly however the arguments are 1: Miguel was in a bad mental state due to him feeling like Robby stole Sam from him so he could of been put of balance because of it and 2: Hawk was fighting a Robby who could of felt more empty due to Daniel getting mad a Robby and got him to leave and when Miguel was fighting Robby at that point Daniel said sorry to Robby and got advice making him better balanced when fighting Miguel compared to Hawk
Absolutely crazy how Karate Kid III was his first acting role. The guy retires from acting, comes back to do Cobra Kai and no one would've ever thought the guy ever retired. It would be very easy to assume that he had a long and storied acting career going into Cobra Kai. Incredible actor and I hope I see him in season 6.
