Rubble - hardcore - most people are using ballast these days - it compacts better and will be more likely to form a base that ensures the slab will be less likely to crack. It may be small enough - you might want to check it out before you do any compacting.

Personal preference coming from a bricklayer I would rotate the new slabs 45° to the original coursing line. This will break the visuals of the smaller sized slabs. Nice to see the Milwaukee breaker, I have been looking at buying the cut off saw from the same battery line makes one more tempting, currently have the DeWalt cordless cut off much preferred over petrol. Great video!
@RagnBoneBrown
@RagnBoneBrown 2 года назад
Hi George. I actually really like that idea. The only thing putting me off from laying them at 45 degrees is the fact that I don't have a large grinder, so I'll be doing all the cuts with a 115mm one. If I had a bigger grinder, I'd go for it !
@georgebishop4757

If you have a look on RU-vid for the RR Buildings channel and do a search for the Milwaukee MX Fuel Carry On Power Supply you can see a video of some of the other uses for the battery range that the breaker uses (He has an excellent channel, I highly recommend). You are very lucky to have been given that breaker, only downside is finding somewhere to store it given it won't see much use. It would be great to see a video about your reasons for wanting/needing to replace the roof and windows if you are ever looking for a video or perhaps as part of an upcoming vlog episode.

How do you handle doing work outside - for instance when you were using this tool to break up the concrete did you let your neighbour know you would he making noise, did you involve them in choosing when you would do it?
