One of our pieces of Essential Gear that is needed for Technical Canyoneering is Rope(s). In this live stream discussion we will discuss the types of ropes used for Canyoneering, what to consider in rope purchases for beginners, options, lengths, diameters and construction of Rope. We will also discuss rope damage and what to look for to know if a rope is usable or not and then I'll show you some ways to carry a rope while hiking and show you my favorite method for packing and carrying a rope. If I remember also in the middle of all this, I'll discuss washing the rope and keeping it usable. Someone may have to pipe up on the chat and remind me though.
