This meeting was complete nonsense. unreal, naively and childish. It's like taking zombies to Cersei in the game of thrones. I don't understand how you like it

While I loved the revelation both Rhaenyra and Alicent have with TSOIAF the scene itself was unrealistic for me. The WAY blood was spilt alongside Alicent NEVER having control of her kids (now add dragons) should’ve been all the information Rhaenyra needed to know there was no going back….

What do you mean? The last time Rhaenyra saw Alicent she was firmly in control of everything, she's only now learning that Alicent has lost power and when she left the meeting it was obvious that Rhaenyra was resigned to war.

@@Red1Green2Blue3 Alicent has never been in control of anything in her entire life with the exception of her pitiful choice in choosing Christian Cole. Even with not seeing Alicent , the knowledge of knowing she indirectly got Alicents grandson brutally killed alongside her own son’s accidental albeit brutal death should of been a sign to anyone with common sense that war was now the only choice. To expect a peaceful bend the knee was ludicrous …like Alicent stated even in a hopeful “hypothetical “ situation where she always had great control of her children…after everything that’s occurred there was NO WAY Aegon would hand over his crown….

@@Bdaychick Alicent was in control at the end of Visery's life. She literally redesigned the red keep removing all Targareyn heraldry and replacing it with imagery of the 7.

@@Red1Green2Blue3 I agree there. But IMO the extent of Alicents “control” has always been tied to the allowance of the men connected to her hence she never really has had it vs Rhaenyra who has been able to experience it. Otto controlled her since she was a child and she only had control with Viserys once he was no longer physically in the picture….she could’ve had more control with her children if she was a bit more nurturing but IMO she’s only had affection for her daughter and even that is never shown. In season one Otto had the control and power and now it’s been transferred to Aegon….

@@Bdaychick you're arguing semantics. The POINT here is that the last time Rhaenyra saw the inner workings of the court Alicent was incredibly powerful and certainly had the ability the influence the direction of events significantly. That's clearly not the case now but Rhaenyra didn't know that until now.
