Sitting here hoping Josh mentioned Salesforce as a CRM solution so I can volunteer to help. Awesome that you talked about your tech stack though! I love the journey y'all are on!

I agree with sticking with old tech. I noticed a trend with early obsession for scaling and micro services before the product is even created.

Just took a look at the landing page and saw the html comments explaining what that block is for, a commented block of a legal disclaimer... It definitely reflects the craziness of bootstrapping a project and just by 2 people. Best of luck with it, will be waiting the updates in the channel :) And will welcome more "tech" videos like this one, not centered in the technology but how you solve that problem for the startup. Maybe in that way it's still related to the DNA of this channel. Keep the updates coming!

Fetch is in Node now. Also, BigInt is an integer type you can use in Node.
@JoshandKatie
@JoshandKatie 2 года назад
Fetch error handling api is gross. We ripped it all out and replaced w Axios.

Sick rundown! Cool to see you’re using 100% SwiftUI. Definitely has its shortcomings like you said but dang is it fun.

Hey Josh, quick question: did you use XCode entirely, or did you use Android Studio for Kotlin, VSCode for GraphQL, etc? I’ve always wonder what’s the best possible way to work on a project like this with different languages doing different things.
@JoshandKatie
@JoshandKatie 2 года назад
XCode + VSCode + Sublime + Android Studio Every layer is its own editor.

Josh, are you using anything for container orchestration? (i.e. Kubernetes)
@MrLemmePlay
@MrLemmePlay 2 года назад
Isn’t that what Docker is for?
@jespsonsaint-pierre4
@jespsonsaint-pierre4 2 года назад
@@MrLemmePlay docker containerizes the app but if you have multiple containers, having a container orchestration tool might be useful

Great video as a whole but the 'subscribe' button popping up with the ping every 3 minutes is way too frequent.

A lot of people are hating on your "day in the life twitter vid" , did you see something like that coming? were there actually many people who took advantage of the perks/ goofed around all day or did Musk go to the extreme and fire a bunch of critical workers.. Interested to hear your thoughts
@JoshandKatie
@JoshandKatie Год назад
I sure did. It leans into stereotypes and goes out of the way to show off every perk in the office in one day. People gonna hate.
