The Cornerback angle is so different from every other read from pro analysts. The cornerback is going to shed insight on the quarterback, WRs, other defensive players etc. It's really interesting to see plays broken down from this perspective and he does a good job with it, even with Pat interrupting.
Titans actually had really solid pass rush, worked on our O line and Goff. But all our eggs aren't in one basket. They locked down the qb, but we still got rb's and special teams
Plus it's hard to throw for over 85 yards when you start 5 of the 9 possessions you are on the field for inside your opponents' 30 yard line & your run game accounts for 160 yards during those 9 possessions. There are only so many yards available at that point & got almost all of them, which is about as good as you can hope to do.
This is what garbage coaching gets you. Ask yourself, do you think this would happen to a Lions player? Or a Steeler or a Chief or a Ram? No of course not. Not only because their coaches would simply never allow it but also because those teams don't roster players who act like this.
@@GeorgeLucas1138 no champ, those coaches are in practice drilling teamwork, hard work, responsibility, and matureness. Like I said, those coaches would simply not allow this to happen. The showboat all eyes on me mentality does not exist on those teams. Dan Campbell and Mike Tomlin would never roster a player with a personality like this in the first place. You are INSANE if you think that an action like this is simply "random" and is not a product of 1) A selfish player who's never been taught the value of teamwork and sportsmanship 2) A weak coaching staff that doesn't instill grit and determination into their players. You play until the final whistle, you haven't won until the final whistle. This moron is trying to go back and forth with people in the STANDS instead of doing his JOB. That is a coaching ERROR and it is 100% unacceptable.
@@1manXmike tomlin is the worst example you could have given. Juju? AB? Leveon? That team was drama queens for multiple seasons in a row and they sucked because of it. They are back on track now but Mike is the definition of a coach that lets that kind of stuff slide if the player is good
It's a good thing the Bears hired a defensive minded head coach... It's only his third year in the NFL though, he's still learning the ropes. Give him a chance
Their defense has allowed less than 21 points in like 13 straight games. This was boneheaded and possibly indicative of poor discipline but their defense is good.
@zacharykaiser5910 They look exactly how they did last year and the year before under Eberflus. He's 3-17 on the road as a head coach and even worse against teams above .500. They constantly make bonehead errors, bad coaching challenges, poor situational football, and lose in close games. It all reflects bad, inept coaching. He will never win a playoff game as a head coach if he can't beat teams above .500.
I have been VERY excited watching the Lions defense. It makes me smile seeing so many of my Bama guys playing great. But seriously the secondary is SOOO GOOD, they work together like most units dont.
No that play the giants tried against the Steelers with 5 blockers on a screen and none of them moved when the ball was snapped in the new worst play ever 😂
@@Darnold29 nah that play wasn't the worst play ever, it was the worst execution of a play. Literally if one guy was paying attention and blocked the rusher, it could've been a td. But instead everybody was watching the snap and not the defenders right in front of them
Honestly a worse defensive play was Marcus Williams not tackling Stefon Diggs in the Minneapolis miracle - in a playoff game. But this one is funnier since he was taunting the crowd on the same play
The guys out there, unlike special teams, have probably never or rarely had an opportunity on such a play. I have seen this before but the special team's people have seen the film of the guy outside the pile catching the ball and cleaning this up with assignment. It is a special teams play but most out there do much special teams and job does not depend on not screwing up the special team play. If this were some undrafted player getting the minimum and he screwed up on his assignment, he knows he may not be in the NFL next week. Almost every kickoff or punt returned for a TD, onsides recovery, passing TD longer than 50 yards, someone(s) screwed up in position, effort, angle, awareness, assignment and those screwups also cost the team 6 points.
Imagine Tomlin, and I am a Browns homer not Stiller fan. Imagine Tomlin. He would have personally boxed up his locker and walked him out of the building. So disrespectful. Tell me I'm wrong.
It def wasn’t the worst defensive play of all time. Dude was trash talking to the crowd and was still able to be the first one to hit the ball. Wasn’t his fault that he had no teammates behind him to help knock it down. Was certainly a breakdown by the defense but on plays like this, it happens.
@@bwalsh1105 You sir seem like a reasonable man. If you are interested, Matt Eberflus is quoted in an ESPN article saying Stevenson was supposed to box out Noah Brown.
Its wild how much yall are trying to squeeze out of this. It wasnt even the worst play of that game let alone the weekend. Not seeing many bears fans bitching about it but go off. Most of the guys on the show are in complete denial of how poopoo their teams are right now so I understand them needing to blow off steam
I dunno, there was a play where I want to say Denver and Baltimore? Where there was a last minute chuck in the air, the safety of Denver went for the knockout blow on the receiver, massively whiffed and the receiver ran in for a TD and the Ravens went to the Super Bowl. I may be miss remembering the teams, but that seemed like a way worse defensive play than this.
imagine believeing this of course him being distracted jawing off to the fans in the stands while the receivers were *literally running downfield* had an effect
@@nc2933 not because of what he was doing before he started paying attention. he had plenty of time to get into position before the ball was thrown. he just didn't do it. his pre and post snap antics had zero effect on the outcome of the play.
