Today we're tilling and preparing our garden area with fresh mulch compost to help with soil health and drainage - we're almost ready to plant some veggies!! We're using the Cub Cadet Tiller, Kioti Tractor and Gravely Mower all to prepare the bed.
Thanks for following along on this journey as we bring this abandoned farm back to what it used to be 200 years ago and more!

Flowers are great in the vegetable garden to Lauren. Marigolds in particular. The Indians (indigenous people), use to plant three different vegetables in one hill to save space. Till an area really well, separate from your main garden, and put your potatoes in. They are the easiest to grow but I think, hardest to harvest….well worth the effort however! Looking great guys!!

Lots a rocks!!🤣 That’s how all those walls got built….years, years and years ago! Never been a cub cadet fan. Hey, do whatever works best for you!! FREEEEDOM!😁👊🏻🇺🇸 SHE GONNA BECA FAAMA!!🤣 Lauren……..and me!🤣😳 Actually, Jake did an awesome job backing up with a zero turn! You’d still be laughing if I tried that…..and I’d still be backing up!! I don’t know Jake, I think you’d get as much if not more, in the bucket on the Kioti and make better time. OR, your PICK UP!!🤔😁

I'm definitely not a fan of the cub cadet either, but it at least got the soil ready! Problem with the tractor is I have to take the road all the way around and the mower I can basically cut through, plus it's a little faster. The corner of the vineyard is a pretty dangerous turn with people going really fast so I try and avoid it. I thought about the truck too, but it takes premium gas! 😂

@@Curtis1824 with the price of gas…you might be adding some historical resurrection to the old homestead…with a horse team!😲🤣

@@keithrayeski3147 The thought has crossed my mind... over $75 filling the tractor each time is absolutely insane.
