Those Partners and other Owners will come for her when this fails. No one would want to coach the laker... Tye lue said something that no one picked up on. When asked the question..." the lakers are interested in you, what do you say?" His response... Smh 20 pt leads are NOT nothing in the final quarter or with 2 minutes left. Overcoming 20 pt leads means a near perfect defensive stand and near perfect shooting/offensive push. If one watched Laker games one would know how many awful starts, come backs & 20 pt leafs lost becuz of bad coaching decisions. Lastly, it’s still a gamble regardless what level of experience a coach has. It’s fit, more than anything. Like I said before, we had Brown & Dantoni, coached with heavy experience & we know how that worked out for the Lakers.

It’s not a lie. Lebron doesn’t make these decisions. Lebron does not hire or fire anybody, that is the FO job. It’s literally their job to find the best personnel and players. If this coaching hire ends up a bad decision it will be entirely on the lakers front office and nobody else.

I'm cautiously optimistic. I'll disregard whether the team is "infatuated" because I recall they were "blown away" by Ham's interview a few summers ago. I'm more interested in how the team will retool the poor defense.

People act like a 16 year nba career isn’t a huge resume plus… actually contributing as an important role player for 16 full seasons in the locker room, on the plane, etc…. He isn’t just some guy who talks about basketball… and he is clearly more educated on the game than Darvin… based off of him quickly becoming a cornerstone at ESPN, Lebron starting a podcast with him, his own podcast being exceptionally popular… etc… The guys resume in every other category is literal A+++ He isn’t going to coach college and realistically with his pay, he isn’t going to be an assistant.. I support this… also the Lakers and players no longer saw Darvin as the future of the lakers… for better or for worse… they seem to feel like even if they underachieve they believe in Jj Reddick more to grow within the Lakers organization long term - which makes sense if you look at his resume ✌🏽

Not sure thats true since most of the time coaches, front office and some players kiss his buttocks constantly. Im sure the coach listened and took his input. But either way coaches are damned if they do and damned if they don’t because if they listen to the players and it works the player gets the credit; then if it does not work the coach gets the blame. Not saying Ham was blameless but the players get a big slice of blame for the failure of this season.

This has happened multiple times in huddles where Bron & other players are visibly unhappy with the strategy, tactics, or calls. This choice would honestly be a mistake if he actually becomes the next head coach. As this would seem more like a James hiring (In spite of him saying otherwise) than Davis having any input on this hiring. Redick showed through his voting that he doesn't particularly value Davis as he should. He has zero coaching experience at the NBA level. I don't see how he would be able to help the team win now or in the future, especially when Davis should be the focal point of the team. At least when Walton was hired, he already had some experience under Kerr and had sat in on coaches meetings when Phil was apart of the team as a player. Next season already looks to be a wash as I don't see Redick being better than either Ham or Walton.

JJ Redick is a bad hire because: * Aging stars need an experienced head coach, not someone who has to learn on the job. When AD and LeBron cannot win on their singular talent, they'll need good coaching, and JJ won't have any more solutions than did Ham. * Redick recently said AD is not a top 10 defensive player. This is proof that his alleged basketball IQ is not as high as touted. * You tarnish the Lakers brand by letting unqualified people coach the team. It's disrespectful to everything the late great Dr. Jerry Buss built to have Luke Walton, Darvin Ham, and now JJ Redick lead his team. Jeanie should be ashamed of herself, and fans shouldn't accept this nonsense.
