BREAKING: LIV Golf "Defectors" Asked to Repay MILLIONS to PGA TOUR? 

They’ll never be able to bankrupt the PGA Tour! That’s laughable! The best solution is to work on combined events. Plus the PGA Tour has new private equity investors. They don’t need the PIF money! Ever check the ratings when they go head to head? Not even close. PGA Tour gets 10-20 to 1! Typically 2 million to about 1-200,000! That’s not sustainable! The Saudis aren’t going to lose money forever. Eventually they’re going to pull the plug! Look up the SSG deal this past year. They invested 3 Billion while the players own the other 9 Billion! See what you fail to understand is the players own the PGA Tour. Unlike LIV, which is owned by an investment firm. The players will NEVER vote to allow that money in, or to allow players to come back without penalties. These players all knew the risks to leave the tour and go to LIV! They knew they’d lose the ability to represent their countries, gain OWGR points, eventually lose the ability to play in majors, the FedEx Cup, the Players(the most prestigious non major title), and all the other major tour events. Some don’t care, but ask the majority of the LIV players, and guarantee they’ll tell you it was a mistake! None of them will ever see the Hall of Fame! No legacy!

The PGA does not operate at a loss. LIV does. Just because your pockets are deep doesn't mean you can keep throwing cash in the garbage.

@@slob710 tell that to the many other investments the PIF have. They view the value of longterm gains for short term investment losses. Don’t bank on them pulling out. That’s just a fantasy of those losing the battle on the pga side. They do not give up on investments if the longterm upside is good. And once the pga becomes second fiddle to Liv, the upside is huge.

Agree, only one LIV left mainly due to his poor play and had to pay fines to rejoin the DP tour but he kept his LIV winnings. LIV golfers and caddies get treated better than any player/caddy combo in ANY other tour.

Everybody has forgotten liv players already. What happened to guys like cam smith? Hes playing +10 and is worse than anthony kim who hasnt touched clubs in 10 years. Players like scottie actually thrives from competition and doesnt like vacationfest like liv golf

Scottie Scheffler prior to the 2022 season had only earned $6M on tour, in the past 3 years he has won almost $65 million and that’s not including Fed Ex bonuses or PGA loyalty handouts. Everybody has benefited in the past 3 years since LIV but mainly the top players. 6 golfers from both LIV and PGAT each earned over $10m while 15 made over $6m (without bonuses).
