Why has no one thought about the impact of a Trump win, didn't LIV play a lot of their tornys at Trump courses in the US. Do you think Trump would be happy with the split continuing. I think it would have an impact on the current state of play.
Liv golf is terrible to watch, meaningless events, stupid cringey team names, no atmosphere, low crowds and no one gives a shit who wins. Liv is the absolute worst thing that has happened to this fantastic sport. The murdering Saudi money merchants are buying up all the best sports, boxing, football, golf and morally bankrupt already filthy rich sports stars running and cashing in rubbing shoulders with people who have committed unimaginable crimes against their own people. The players who went to Liv are nothing but scumbags using the excuse ' oh i get to spend more time with my family ', yeah right, why not cut your schedule down then and play less events ya can well afford it! f#@k Liv and all those who participate!
Haven't been to Streamsong, but I love having a caddie. I usually play better because of their experience, less stress, and less physical exertion. But no caddie is perfect. Just like a putt hit twice from the same spot might not roll the same, a caddy's read cannot predict all the variables that your stroke includes. For best enjoyment, give your caddy a break and don't expect perfection.
ESPN will be covering the tournaments or matches. Im wondering what that will be like. Probably a lot of production to make up for the lack of real conditions. Its basically going to be 2 hours of players teeing up balls and executing penalty drops into the rough and sand. Hmmmmm.....
What? You mean waving the almighty dollar in their face isn't enough now? They made their beds, now lay in them. Your working for a dictatorial regime whether you admit it or not. All businesses are in some degree. But some don't have it in their home country like they do.
The official World Golf Ranking is no longer a reliable source for ranking who the best golfers are. There needs to be an unbiased ranking system separate from all major leagues and entities. Or they can remove the word “World” from their title to be more accurate
My point of view is that the LIV golfers are adults and they knew the consequences of accepting the money to play on LiV tour that didn’t think it was important to make sure they played four rounds of golf each tourney to have abide by the World ranking bylaws. Its their fault and they should stop whining.
look at Cam's record even on LIV , he is not playing well , so report that too .. :) , All LIV golfers knew what they were doing when they moved so IMO , live with LIV , LOL
So what needs to be done to fix this is all the tournaments need to tell the OWGR we consider your ranking system a joke and hugely inaccurate. Then tell them we will no longer use your system to invite players due to that. Then they need to go by alternative ranking systems that are non-bias like TUGR.org, or one of the other non bias ranking systems.
PIF not complying with OWGR criterias for its Livv employees to be kept isolated isnt an accident... PIF employed them, and PIF runs Livv in having Rumyyan as CEO, Chairman, & Commissioner of Livv as well as CEO of PIF. No Tour anywhere has to change anything because a tiny few pros think rules dont apply to them. Players not complying with OWGR is on their own shoulders.
That would be a great argument if the OWGR didn't exempt so many PGA Tour events from the rules relating to the rankings points given in tournaments which don't comply, ie invitation only events with limited fields, no cuts etc.
WGR hasworked with all of the tours to get their play to count toward rankings but for some reason LIV can't come to agreement on a format that would qualify them for WGR. LIV's refusal to do what it takes to be part of it doesn't diminish what being ranked high will earn you. A new group of islamic dudes don't get to set the rules just because they paid a bunch of players to be with them. You missed what Sergio was saying about the WGR. Anyone would have to win lots of LIV tournaments to rank high because of the nature of their 54 hole format. Easier short tournaments aren't weighted as much as the traditional tournament format. So you have to win lots of LIV events to rank as high as someone who wins fewer PGA events.
Loved the update lads!. I have a different prospective to Jordan's comments. 3 competitions, PGA, DP & LIV...more yes but lets narrow the prospective with divided world class players and price money potential. Maybe simple maths...world class players..divided over 3 price money = more money for pro golfers to win 1st, 2nd and 3rd price money? Examples, Rory has ability to win a PGA event $ Jon has ability to win LIV event $...both win on the same weekend but different events..maybe $ different but still competing with world class athletes on a Slope ratings course, either can not compete against each other during the events...the course only and overall contenders...whoms the better? Both scratch handicap = course ratings = pay day = viewers...still a work-in-progess. I would think this is a no brainer. All competitions have room for individual events & choices, qualifying points and broader choices for the game we challenge ourselves, stroke by stroke, course by course... It's still a no brainer, 3x competitions all results obtaining a world class rating. No just a individual competition rating within a players championship but equally. Can Jon or any LIV player obtain Open status, the answer should be yes. Heads up, enjoy the LIV format on Team's, go Ripper!
OWGR is not relevant anymore. Cam is doing what Bryson is doing... push golf in your home country. As for the merger, I call this the Caitlin effect. The PGA knows the revenue of the gate is within reach so don't fritter away the opportunity like the WNBA. The merger will get done since reality has set in. The merger delay was for the PGA to acquire financial venture capital and redirect support among the players for the merger. Earlier Jay was in a weak position in dealing with PIF so needed time to enable him to hold better cards and get the key tour players in line. This will get done to avoid the Caitlin effect. The match in December with PGA vs LIV stars will open the door to finalizing an agreement. The PGA wants to see the ratings and quality of golf. The fans win in the end.
Livv isnt in any merger, merger is with PIF by applying to invest in USPGAT to US Govt, which they havent done yet. USPGAT has been waiting a year & PIF hasnt fronted up, they've told Livv employees like Normnn that Livv is staying on its own.
OWGR is a joke and should be dropped by the majors. I also don't think there should be a merger between LIV and PGAT. LIV is so much better off on their own. Much better product for the fans.
Livv isnt in any merger, only PIF $$ being invested is, if US Govt. approves it first. OWGR have shown how important they are and arent a part of PIF losing over $60 millionUS each exhibition. Livv CEO, Rumyyan has told the employees like Normnn that Livv is being kept on its own, its not up to any Tour to save the failed scheme copied from Premier Golf Leagues website plan.
Why would LIV be interested in a merger with the PGA Tour ? What does the PGA have that makes a deal attractive ? As each day passes the PGA Tour's monopoly fades into memory. LIV is growing. The PGA Tour is now an opportunity to get noticed by a LIV Team and possibly an invitation to the big show. (And the big money) Bye-bye PGA Tour. You may not realize it but your time at the big boy table is over. 😎✌️⛳️🏌♀️🤷♂️
PIF loses over $60 millionUS each Livv exhibition, Livv isnt growing, isnt getting media & sponsors, isnt in any merge with US Tour as PIF has to apply to invest in USPGAT and be approved by US Govt. first, which they havent done. Tours will take PIF $$ but wont merge with Livv, even Livv in Oz loses $90 millionAU each time with only 100 thousand spectators per show.
They all left the pga for the money. More money and less time playing, win win. They all can make enough money in two or three yrs to retire in decent style and get some other job .

Only some LIV players said the attraction was fewer tournaments. DJ was certainly one of them and he has lived up to that. Many others still want to play more than LIV events, not just potentially for points, but also for the competitiveness within them. Bryson wanted to grow his RU-vid profile and grow the game through that medium. He doesn't play other events. Again, only a few said they wanted to play less golf.
OWGR is so irrelevant and any and all golf fans and followers know that...and it's just a PGA-affiliated ranking system The PGA is on the fast track to become just as irrelevant...just saying
The R&A and the PGA Tour needs to get over themselves! Hypocrites all! Let all these bozos ruin world golf. Asia has the most upside but western corporations don’t control that market. The Golf Channel, NBC, ABC and CBS broadcasts are so biased that we don’t watch, except for Majors(only with commentary turned off!
LIV is a retirement exhibition tour. I’m totally finished with the Ryder Cup too. It’s another exhibition event. The Euros are too into it, it’s creepy. Legacy my *ss. Win majors, win DP and PGA tour events, and other big world events like in the Aussie swing, or see ya later. I broke par at my muni last weekend and sank a key birdie putt to close out my best ball match - should I be ranked? 😂🤣😂

Yes same old same old but keep talking how the OWGR is irrelevant and biased so the reality becomes mainstream. When the PGA tour had that match play event in Texas, did the pros not earn points playing that event? The OWGR tweaked their formula to award points for that event and different format. The OWGR not being able to create a formula for the Liv format means 1) they are not smart enough to be the entity creating golf rankings and 2) they are politically motivated being in cahoots with the PGA in their quest to suppress Liv and not about doing what’s good for the game of golf. This is why pro golf is losing fans and interest.
@@leslydonovan9097I get your sarcasm but he is heroic for coming back to Australia to support our tour. He doesn't have to do it, he's not doing it for money but because he understands that he draws crowds in his home country.
The Asian Tour is another avenue that LIV players have taken for OWGR points as well as the Japan Tour. I saw an article this morning regarding rumors that Greg Norman is going to be replaced as the LIV Tour CEO. He may be an obstacle to LIV making changes towards being able to be eligible for OWGR points due to his crusade to 'stick it' to the PGA Tour. Also, bear in mind that the U.S. Dept. Of Justice is involved in the negotiations between the Tour and LIV. That can't do anything but slow things down.
