He'll do well in the US. Plenty of series over there for him and now he's been in THE best motorsport series in the world, he'll probably do pretty well!
So what’s up with Antonelli? I guess I must’ve missed some update about him, I would’ve expected him to get that drive if he’s a contender for the Merc seat.
Logan was given more than enough chances to establish himself as a reliable F1 driver. Simply his performance ro do so failed. He is a young man. He was given his chance. His sport is a competition. He failed to meet expectations and his driving ruined too many cars by unnecessary collision. Life moves on. I wish him well in the future.
Much prefer them promoting their own than get a loan driver like lawson. If RB want Lawson to have a seat they should give the guy the one in their team. Why would Williams want to develop a driver for their rivals. Also incredible how drivers who arent exactly lighting up f2 will have couple of F1 races and full time seats. The previous winners nowhere to be seen.
Mick is carrying the Alpine team in World Endurance, I'm not saying he's a complete driver, but he has developed since his Haas days, lest we forget one of his 2 seasons there the team did nothing to develop their tractor, preferring to focus on the following year which wasn't much better
Well, the big test for me was Jeddah some years ago, and he didn't deliver. He crashed out. Endurance racing, maybe helping him to become a better racer in general, but i fear his time is already gone 😕
I like this move... Williams get to give a driver an F1 debut, creating an opening for him to potential seats or reserve roles across the grid, if not across the world. If he is a reserve next year he will know what the real car is like. Literally could be our next lawson/ bearman/ DeVries... (Ironically italy is the next race)
I like my Formula 1 fresh and this decision is fresh. How many times did Logan put it in the wall? It stopped the whole practice session. Time for someone new. This is F1.
About time. Bad choice for the replacement tho. Sargaent belongs in American racing sports. Send him to nascar then Indycar. He will do well in NTT series. He just needs to be happy he got the extremely lucky chance for f1 especially being an American.
It actually happened? Finally. Hes just not up to F1 standard, though Im sure he will have a fine career in Indycar or WEC. Mick wouldnt get a seat on a bus without that surname. He definitely doesnt deserve one in F1.
now sack checo perez !!! the fact logan sargeant isnt replaced by liam lawson tells me perez will be sacked and replaced by lawson after the mexican GP
I think its gonna be good for Pinto, he only has the seat until Sainz arrives and he gets 9 races of experience in an F1 car. If he isnt quite ready, its not an issue because he's getting demoted back to F2 next season anyways.
I defended Logan last year but not this year. He's not terrible like some past Williams #2's but he's not good enough either and seems to just be treading water. Plus he costs the team a lot of money in repairs. That situation was not going to change in the last half of the season. They have nothing to lose putting Colapinto in the seat and there are really no other options. Antonelli was a hard no from Toto and Williams really get nothing out of it anyway. Liam Lawson was never going to be released even on loan by Red Bull. Mick may hardly be an improvement over Logan given his F1 history, so,... why not Colapinto? If he washes out he washes out - does a Logan. If he excels maybe Williams bag a few points. If he scores even a point during the second half it will have been worth it to the team.
There's an absolute shit tonnes of drivers who would have been safer hands.. Could have called up the services of loads of former F1 drivers. But it's better to give someone new a shot.
Logan was competing with Mazepin for the worst start to F1. Shame as he had so much potential but the way he was driving, this was inevitable. As soon as he binned it in Zandvoort, I thought, oops. Talking of drivers coming into F1 too soon, Max Verstappen still had his stabilizers on when he entered. That was entertaining, not in a good way, but he was flipping quick if he wasn't bashing into everyone. Logan has not been quick.
Are they bringing this desperation call in for the sake of getting Logan out of the car?? or is it cause he’s actually talented enough for a f1 seat rn?? Let’s talk about it next live cam
@@PeterKKraus wew you must be fun at parties. Well, to double down or your dogmatic deflection; factory engineers by tradition form the pit crew. So they do get their hands dirty too 😋
Computer says Noooo!!!!! Idk about this promotion, if your trying to save money on incidents why put another inexperienced F1 driver in there. Hopefully that car doesn’t get smashed up because if it does then there goes that money.
