It's amazing how many of the fires are started by homeless trying to survive

Squeezing past the "Road Closed" barriers, I rode my motorcycle up Foxen Canyon road today to get as close to the Western edge of the fire as possible. I was amazed at how far it got overnight. This fire is in a very remote, very rugged and very rural part of the North-central part of Santa Barbara county. The fire is in the rugged and steep and virtually inaccessible San Rafael Mountains. It is North of Los Olivos and extends North to the Sisquoc river and west to Foxen Canyon road; to the East is a huge wilderness of equally rugged terrine. There is an abundance of beautiful scenery that makes Foxen Canyon Road one of the best scenic drives and especially a wonderful motorcycling trip. There is one medium size and one tiny winery out there and some very rural ranches, but nothing upscale.

Maybe if the Governor would spend money on taking care of the woods and helping this NOT to happen instead of spending money on DEI stuff this would not happen and insurance companies would actually not leave the state

One of the reasons I left CA. Absolutely no forest management and insurance kept getting higher and higher. Also, taxes keep rising and no effort to protect homeowners in rural areas. Money goes to homeless, illegals and super trains to nowhere that no one will ride. All big cities are dumps. Don’t miss that place at all.
