@@rbarbetta1978not at all, it should be labeled a federal constitutional Republic, we have an amendable constitution that rules supreme legislatively, we have a strong central government, and the citizens vote for representatives on their behalf of government matters. There isn't anything democratic about America, by definition. It is the same system used by ancient Rome which was a republic. Citizens of Rome elected senators which would act on behalf of the voters' interest. Most of the U.S. is made in the image of ancient Rome. Government architecture, political structure, etc. There isn't anything democratic about this country and I am always confused about what part is any bit democratic when people claim it is.
@Jorged18 It's semantics and it's been debated a lot. But it is both democracy and a republic. Or at the very least utilizes characteristics of both. Yes we vote through elected representatives. But The People decide. It's the will of The People cast through representatives that are elected by The People. Democracy by proxy. Sometimes clunky, pre-established, rule-bound institutions (our Republic) but still based on The People voting.

I respect him for his articulated wisdom and outspoken beliefs, even if I don't always agree with his political associations or stances on particular economic issues. Men like him and Dr Jordan Peterson are beacons of intelligent, logical discourse in a world rapidly losing its common sense.

As much as I personally disagree with his audience, I think they should freely have their space to communicate and not be throttled economically.
