Thanks for the update fellazzzz. I'll be at the point/ Dreamland this Wednesday. I go to the point once a month for about a week each time comminng from Kalamazoo Michigan. Zamperla is making a name for themselves, so this new Dragster 2 will be absolutely exhilarating. Also, these new trains, track, and launch system should run consistently without downtime. I'm looking forward to it.
You guys are pretty much accurate with all the new information you posts on your videos. I always thought the same thing with the 3 V'S that there would be three launch speeds but anything can happen we just have to hope that this upgraded version ot this ride will be as good as it sounds love your guys videos appreciate your information that you guys post.
I think this was strategically done, because there's more...... remember they put out the other day about the rumors and being let down etc....what are the odds they said that...and this comes out a day later lol
Another reason I think it could be a major marketing troll is that the RU-vid videos like this, ElToroRyan, and Theme Park Predictions don't seem to be really questioning the possibility of a website hack. Call me suspicious but I think it's entirely possible Cedar Fair has enlisted some of our intrepid RU-vidrs for help with one last TTD 2.0 troll. (Or maybe I'm just too suspicious these days. 😆) Tuesday will be fun!
You’re way too suspicious. I’ll give it right around a 0% chance at a hack or troll by anyone. Just accept the leak as is because that’s what we’re getting.
I can't really imagine that a leak like this could happen this close to the expected announcement. I think marketing may be trolling us again. We'll see!
so.. Cedar Point asked Zamperla.. a competitor to Intamin, to spend a few million dollars building track and supports to make 3 videos and a website.. just to troll people....... and Zamperla agreed? sounds plausible..
do you think someone hacked the Zamperla website and posted something fake? do you think it's real and Cedar Fair ok'd this release? are space aliens real?
The old dragster went 110 per ride and LOST speed before going up. So probably 100mph could clear the top. 101 will get back row to 380. Front row 350. With probably 100ft of pure 90 before radiusing. Combined with the great lighting trains it will be like nothing else.
to be honest 98% of the people who go to the park are not enthusiasts and wont ever see this leak. unless the news gets a hold of it.. then they wont be happy, but still, it's just an announcement for something people already knew was coming.
@@jeremycovelli either way what a freakin let down. its not smoking any competition unless its taller than kingdaka and dont look like it will be. Just wait till those aluminum lightnig trains come flying apart and seng guests flying across the midway at 120 mph.
I suppose this is fake. Zamperla's website is offline right now. I personally do not consider a mulit-pass LSM launch with a spike as "new formula for thrills". It also - in my opinion - doesn't match the racing theme that is highly advertised by Cedar Point. Let's wait for tuesday. I'm still hoping for something more exciting and more innovative.
G'day! Great job! The New Formula for Thrills... (LSM triple-launch coaster, with new lightning trains) "Top Thrill 2!!" Considering, going 100 mph backwards up the spike, and then looking straight down, diving 400+ feet straight down hitting that launch track at 120 mph before going up will be an absolute rush. Cheers! ❤😊✌🏻🎢 P.S. "This is historic in more ways than one. First time a company has leaked its own 400+ foot tall coaster before it was announced!!"😉👍🏼
What is everyone's thought on the height of the spike if this is true. And no before anyone says your disappointed im not. It will be cool that high on a spike. I am a little surprised at the following....why break 400ft with the spike if your not going to go taller than 456 with kingda ka? If your doing 420, whats another 36 feet at that point? To me there is no sense in going over 400 if your not breaking the height of kingda ka Yes i know you can say it wont really be taller as its a spike and get crazy. To me breaking 456 matches more with "smoke the competition". Yes i realize even at 420 you can still say worlds tallest spike and going over 456 doesnt change that...but it does give you part of a coaster higher than kingda ka....in a way. So to me if you're paying to go 420 might as well go over 456 at that point...in a sense a waist of money. Thoughts? And no im not part of the dissatisfied group just thinking it through.
waste of material and money. the train can't go that high.. it won't even get anywhere near the 420', probably closer to 375 at the back of the train. any higher and the train would be way too fast over the top hat. Also Cedar Fair is no longer interested in breaking records, they've changed to creating good overall experiances including introducing major theming and immersiveness to it's new rides and areas. And they're better off with that mindset..
@@jeremycovelli I agree with the park no longer in the breaking record category. Certainly out of the Dick Kinzel Era. To me it seems odd they even went 420. They could have saved more money and been in the 300 range.
Capacity shouldn’t be that different. TTD was only at 1000pph. If these trains don’t have those restrictive seatbelts like Intamin loves then that alone should pump out trains faster.
Kinda bummed to wake up to this info lol. I am hoping that name does not stick as Top Thrill 2 is a lame phoned in attempt. I am not shocked on Zamperla, even before when Intamin was still on the table I was thinking we would at least see the Lightning trains. Im Ok with Zamperla as long as the reliability is there. Wild mouse for what it is, is a fun coaster and they make some of the best flats in the business. I am more or less bummed wit the name and was hoping the spike was going to be bigger. Wonder if the spike being 420ft is the reason we have not seen any filings with the FAA as of now. I hope Cedar point still has some secrets to show us on Tuesday.
I'm slightly disappointed that it is a spike.. and a straight one at that, but at least it's taller than I thought it would be but who knows how far up the train will go. It will still be a fun ride for sure. The one thing I'm genuinely worried about is only having 3 trains at 20 people per train. Zamperla may not know the name and top thrill 2 could just be a placeholder. Web pages can be scheduled to go live automatically, so maybe today was supposed to be the announcment day but it got it pushed to the 1st and someone forgot to update the webiste launch date.. either way, I bet they're a bit embarrassed lol
I'm neither disappointed nor excited at this point. Not breaking the record, nor taller than the top hat, nor shorter. Seems like the safest bet for the park
What a let down. No real/meaningful records or innovation. It’s as basic as all the possible changes could be. Phoning it in. Opportunity loss. No wow factor. Whooomp Whooomp.
ElToroRyan did tell us Zamperla over a year ago Okay its Zamperla, i still feel like Tony Clark maybe directed Zamperla to "leak" the details but maybe those details will be different Tuesday to take one last shot @ the enthusiasts community..but if not, RU-vidr CasperCoasterCreator had a video a few days ago with a concept that i think will be dead on ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uIKwzn3nH2I.html
@@jeremycovelli no i do know some stuff. aluminum is weak, it cracks easier, and every x amount of years it needs to be tested and what they look for is a change in magnetism with this wand and that would indicate a crack. given the amound of stress and force that Dragster originaly had I dont trust aluminum trains on this. A crack in the aluminum could happen at any given time. And im super dissapointed zamperla had anything to do with it.
Sorry, I still don't believe it's Zamperla. I'm going to watch the official announcement from Cedar Point.🎢 What I do believe is that Cedar Point will be using the Original Top Thrill Dragster Trains.
