Given how Marianne Williamson UNsuspended her campaign, I think it Is peculiar how Haley both announces that she is "suspending" her campaign (temporary) but also says she "will no longer be a candidate" (permanent). If you're dropping out, say you're dropping out. If you're suspending your campaign, why talk in absolutes and definite terms? Seems like a great way to fence yourself in, and is another example of why people think of politicians as 'slimy, and not truly meaning what they say. It's not even about the administrative logistics of suspension v termination. It's about the brand. It's about coming across as a straight-talker who doesn't use double-speak. Even if he really isn't consistent, which is someone else's call, Trump is at least PERCEIVED as a straight talker.
