I remember years ago working with asbestos... & we would have to take a break every two hours or so to allow for fresh air w/out wearing masks! Now that somehow isn’t a thing.. & when I bring it up to employees at the grocery stores, they just look at me w/this strange look on their face.. it’s weird they say nothing & just have this look, like is this guy really speaking to me right now!

Normally they work with supplied air when working with asbestos..

Well we certainly didn’t.. they might now but 20 years ago we didn’t wear all that gear to remove asbestos shingles.. but we would wear masks & gloves, & we’d take multiple breaks throughout the day...

@@Donald_Ray Shingles are not dusty like Insulation is.. I wached them Remove Asbestos from buildings at Upjhons Corp Now Pfizer .. they put plastic sheeting up every where and they wore space suits.. Shingles or not all the dangerous

@@mikeskidmore6754 I’m not sure what it is you’re implying exactly, but my point was.. (as a contractor, it hasn’t been that long ago).. when working w/ANY material (whatever it may be) & we wore masks or respirators, for long periods.. it was common knowledge (meaning everyone knew) it wasn’t safe to work 8hr days covering your mouth like that.. &NOW that somehow isn’t the case anymore.. [just so you know] I worked for yrs remodeling Historical (mostly pre-civil war era) homes, buildings, barns, churches etc.. &anyone who’s actually removed asbestos shingles or worked around rock-wool insulation knows that is some tuff sh it to work with.. &(IMO) asbestos [meaning asbestos SLATE]is extremely dusty.. they brake easily, creating a nasty dust.. that’ll get all over you!
