Thank you for the person who posted this free RU-vid audiobook. This has been my holy grail for handling my narcissistic mother whom I’ve been in contact with for 20 years. I’m autistic & can sometimes be perceived as the narcissist by society, but people must realize that they’re 2 different disorders with similar aspects. I’ll definitely go no contact & feel more confident in doing so as my self care is very important, but since my mom is more of the vulnerable narcissistic type, I see her just turning more inward when I will tell her no constantly. She might get very jealous & all, but I just see her being more victimized & not so vigilant. The scariest part for me could be her yanking financial support from me should I go no contact for too long. And what’s even more worse is that I’m one of the 80% of autistic people who are unemployed or underemployed, making it that much harder to deal with her controlling ways. Thank goodness I do have a good therapist, but I only have 1 friend who lives 1,500 miles away in Connecticut who also has autism. His name is Vinny.
